This book has a wonderful selection of cat quilting patterns. Excellent!

Had many different quilt patterns and photos of finished quilts of cats (and a couple of dog quilts). It was what I was looking for.

Absolutely wonderful book. Great pictures and instructions. The quilts are so fun. I can’t wait to get started

And this book will give me incentive to make a cat quilt.

I'm sure that you have a few cookbooks in your collection that you enjoy, but for some reason you never do get around to cooking from them. Maybe the ingredients are hard to get, or you have a simpler recipe in another cookbook. There's nothing wrong with those cookbooks; they're fun, pretty, inspirational. It's just a reading-cookbook rather than a regular instruction book.To my surprise, that's how I feel about Cat's Meow: Purr-fect Quilts for Cat Lovers. As a devoted cat person, and an enthusiastic (if not anywhere near expert) quilter, I had hoped to find several quilts that would let me indulge in more than one of my passions. However, every time I flip through the pages of this book... well, I end up cooking something else for dinner, so to speak.I'm not completely sure why; perhaps it's because the designs expect you to use a lot of scraps (I'm not a scrap quilter), or they're just an eensy bit too cutesy. It might also be that, to my mild surprise, none of the designs are suited to use all the kitty fabrics that I've been collecting. Probably, the main reason that I haven't felt compelled to use any of these designs is that the instructions aren't completely clear; it doesn't give me a sense of confidence that this will come together sensibly.I don't dislike the book; it deserves its 4 stars, and I've no intention of giving it away. On the other hand, I'm not worrying that I'll wear out the book's binding.

Fantastic book for quilting cat lovers. Some patterns are very intricate, others not so much. Directions are clear and patterns are wonderful. I definitely plan to make a variation of the cover pattern. Great addition to most quilter's libraries.

The book was very brittle and broke apart when I opened it. I was able to photocopy the pages I needed but the last 20 pages or so are now out of the book. Disappointed.

i actually bought this many yrs ago when i was thinking of starting to learn how to quilt .. and i finally picked out the machine i wanted to have but bc of my husband's passing, i havent started to sew yet .. but to be quite honest .. there are several projects i want to do bc of this book .. i gave it 5 stars bc i am a big cat fan (i love all animals but i favor cats) .. and i just love so many of the ideas from this book .. if u r an animal lover, and want to make something special with a cat on it .. this book is for u ..

Lots of good projects but none of them were what I was looking for. The search continues 😕

Love cats? Love patchwork? Then you'll love this book. From cute rainbow kittens to dressed up cats in bow ties, there is something for every cat lover in this book. Even a feline version of Sunbonnet Sue! There is a gallery of quilts made from the designs within, but with the makers own twist to them which helps give other ideas. Big quilts, small quilts and everything in between. And they are not complicated to make. Many are very suitable for beginners but equally, the more experienced maker should enjoy most of the designs. A great addition to any patch workers library.

Dieses Buch zeigt viele verschiedene Varianten von Katzenfiguren, manche sehr einfach, manche aufwändiger (auch Hunde sind dabei...). Die Figuren kann man natürlich abwandeln und so dem Quilt eine ganz eigene Note geben. Für Quilt- und Katzenfans ein absolutes Muss. Auch einfach nur zum Anschauen schön!
