Makes you a better player
Like other reviewers have said - the neck is like butter. I've been an Ibanez die-hard for 15 years. I'm seriously thinking about selling all of them and buying more Charvels. I quit playing my other guitars after getting this one, including a more expensive Vai Jem. I bought this on the recommendation of someone, and it didn't disappoint. It's lighter than other guitars, it sounds great, the action came low and without buzz. And the neck! My son has been taking guitar lessons for a couple months and he's been using my Ibanez RG. I noticed him struggling to slide his left hand up and down the neck to go from the 4th to 12th fret and back. After realizing his hand was sticking to the neck, I handed him this Charvel and said try this one. In about two seconds he said 'I like this one better.' After a few minutes more, I asked him which one he would choose to learn on. The answer was the Charvel. His practice has already gotten better just with that one exercise we worked on. So even beginners notice the difference immediately. The neck is a little wider than an Ibanez, but the finish makes it worth the switch.

This Charvel rocks!
Love my new Chlorine Burst Charvel DK24 HH. This is the most playable neck I’ve ever played. I usually play Strats. My playing accuracy immediately improved by 10% or more over the Strats. The only compromise I’m seeing is a small impact to blues phrasing relative to the Strats. As the say, this fretboard is butter. Great rock tones. The Music Zoo got the guitar to me very fast and it was well packaged. The guitar is flawless. My only complaint is that the tone switch screws were both loose. A simple fix, but something Music Zoo should catch. That’s the only reason that I didn’t give a 5.
