Love the illustration
The Color Monster is creative, colorful and lots of fun. Read this to a soon to be kindergartener to help them know what to expect.

Great Book For Back to School
This book is written for elementary level. However, I think that most classes and people in general would be able to relate to Color Monster. Mainly, because he goes through several common emotions related to starting a new journey.

Good for young kids
I purchased this for my kindergarten granddaughter. We read it one time and she wasn’t really engaged. Not a book she would want to read over and over again.

Great addition to the first one.
A lot of reviews that had negative feedback said it didn’t teach as much in this one and that it was disappointing. I am a Behavior Interventionist in a school district and I thought I would give it a try since the little kids responded so well to the first ones about emotions. I think the this book builds off the emotions one and as the monster goes through activities it’s perfect to further explore emotions based off of what he is feeling in each of the activities going into a school setting. It is more so a preschool setting, which is still great, but I think once the kids understand the colors and what they represented it is a great way to further explore conversations about activities and feelings based off of visual aids rather than direct instruction.

Nice sequel to Color Monster
A good companion book to have if your child also enjoyed reading the original color monster. While the original taught basic emotions and colors, this one reiterated those lessons while also introducing the concept of going to school and the emotions that might come with that. Recommended!

Not as good as the first one
This felt like a money grab rather than a good sequel to the original book.

Great for beginning of school year
I ordered this to get my daughter excited and ready for preschool. She loved it and we read it every night for weeks! Such a great color monster sequel!

My kids love this book.
Both of my children, age 6 and 4, love this book. They have,“Color monster, a story about emotions“, as well, and they love that book too.

Well written plenty of chance to discuss this milestone in a child's life.

Good for school starters
I really like this book however I do wish it spoke more about the colour monsters colours and referred back to the first book. When reading to a group of preschoolers we spoke about what colour they might be feeling but would be good to see that represented in the story itself
