DHP Luxor Metal Counter Stool with Wood Seat and Backrest, 24", White

Pro'sThese bar stools look fantastic. We ordered the antique gun metal - they look very industrial - the appearance is like bare metal with grinder marks and visible welds. We bought our first pair about 10 months ago to go around the bar in our outdoor kitchen. We bought another pair about 3 months later and just bought our 3rd pair last month. The 6 of them sit outside under a covered patio 24/7. The original stools look as good today as the new one's we just bought.Con'sThe seats on these stools are WAY too small for a normal size adult. If you are kid or have a really narrow butt...they are probably fine. I'm about 6' and 185 lbs and the original seat is REALLY uncomfortable due to the small size.So why did I give it 4-stars? Because I knew the seat (which measures 12x12) was going to be too small and my expectations were properly set. I got exactly what I expected...probably even better than expected.Now, if you're handy (and I like to think I am), you do what I did...I went to the hardware store and bought a 16" wide x 3/4" thick pice of 'cabinet-grade' wood. I used my jig saw, some sand paper, and wood stain to make a new seat. My new seat is 16" deep and 16" wide (tapering back to 12" so it still fits inside the chair). It's a REAL shame the seats did not come this way originally. The new seats I made are very comfortable for those with skinny butts as well as my 250 lb friends.Bottom line (no pun intended):If these are for kids or if you have a narrow-butt - you'll love them. BUY BUY BUYIf you have a 'normal' adult-size butt - plan to replace the seats or the comfort-level diminished quickly.

These are quite sturdy and when pulled up to counter height, you sit about chest high with the counter.. like sitting at a table. The next height up, which I have, are better suited for smaller children (ages 5-12 say) but these are good for adults looking to have a bar height feel. I prefer the next height up because of my height of 5'3". These are still great for average sized adults. No issues with construction which only involves attaching the back of the stool. Overall, nice.

These are perfect. Crisp white smooth finish;very sturdy. The seats are black with visible wood grain which turned out to look too dark for me, so I painted them a happy green and then sanded to reveal the dark grain again. Perfectly antiqued with 30 minutes of work for the pair. Seats come off with screws.

We just moved into our new house and wanted a few stools for the counter height breakfast bar. I found these that had decent reviews, matched out intended style and didn't break the bank. Definitely a decent stool for the price. If you have some junk in the trunk this stool maybe a little small for your rump. However, I still like sitting on them and I mostly wanted them for my kid to eat breakfast at the counter.I had some "minor" issues with one box of the stools. The backer that attaches to the stool was bent where I needed to screw them together. I had to bend it back into place to get the screws in. No damage to the box that I could see so I'm confused on how this even happened. I could have return but I felt that was more trouble than it was worth.Overall I like the stools. They serve their purpose and look good while doing it.

These came boxed well and assembly was a breeze. You just attach the backs with four screws on each stool. The legs have rubber feet, great for my hardwoods, and the stools feel extremely sturdy. And they do look great in my kitchen.The cons for me- the seat is very small. Which is fine for my kids now, but I can’t imagine sitting here or any other adult camping out on one to talk in my kitchen. The back of one stool has these small red squiggly lines that almost look like sharpie. But it’s underneath the clear finish on the metal. So I can’t scrap or clean it off. I’m likely going to contact the manufacturer because it looks like my kids have colored on one already and I want them to at least start perfect. And finally, the wooden seats feel rough. Like they’ll need to be really paid attention to or they’ll take a beating quickly. I’m debating buying a sealant for them to be able to easily clean any spills with cleaner and not worry about the wood or stain being harmed.

The chairs arrived and the box looked fine. We unpacked the chairs and it was difficult, but I didn't think much of it. Then, the next day, I started noticing dents all over the legs of the chairs after my pants snagged on a crack and chip in the wood of one of the seats. Upon further investigation, both chairs are badly damaged. My office staff through the box out, so I can't return them. However, I'm not happy as the box was not damaged which tells me it wasn't the shipper. My gut tells me that either someone returned them, or it was unpacked at some point, and then someone tried to repackage them but didn't do it correctly which caused them to get damaged inside the box. However, I think the first scenario is probably the case. They were returned damaged, and were repackaged and somehow resold as new.

After I put the thechairs together and put them at my bar, I noticed one wobbled. The tip of one leg was bent about 90 degrees. The box is too big for me to wrap up and pack it up to be returned, besides, I am a handicapped senior citizen. I will get my son to come over and see if he can bend it back as best as he can. I called the manufacturer and cannot send me a new base for the stool. What can I do now for a useless stool as I am disabled and the stool is rather large?

Pro: The height is suitableCons:- both two chairs get strange scratches on them.- one of chairs has legs which is not the same length- both two backs are damaged and I cannot make them flat again.- both the two backs are too wide for the chairs and I have to fight hard to fit them onto the chairs.- one end of the back seems to be separated into different layers.

These stools look exactly like they are in the photo. They are also surprisingly sturdy! Super easy install, came in two parts. Highly recommended!

These are a great addition to our kitchen counter. Strong and easy to clean. Very reasonably priced.

Perfect fit and I ordered 2 sets (4 all together). The seat is a bit smaller but the kids mostly use them so it's fine.
