I saw this beautiful book on YouTube, many artists using it for paintings. I love the book. the pictures are fantastic! Hopefully I will be using it for my watercolor art.

Wow! This book is hefty in size. I was amazed just how crisp and big the photos of the specimen flowers were. I was hesitant getting this. I had it saved in my shopping cart for several weeks now. I was debating if what I needed it for would justify the $40 cost. After getting it today, I couldn't be happier. It was better than I expected or thought it to be. It served my purpose right and beyond. My laptop or phone won't display a bigger close up photo like ones in it. I should say for the price it's well worth it!

Love this book! It has giant photographs that make even ordinary flowers look gorgeous. You can see right down the throat of some if the flowers, like the anemone. The author provides some historical background on each flower, and some instructions for preparing an arrangement. I have two complaints. One is that the photos needlessly transverse the book's gutter, sometimes by only an inch or two, thereby ruining the overall effect of the photo. Second, the photos are mostly back-to-back, as is the prose, so if you wanted to use the photos in something else, only half the book is useable. Overall, this is a gorgeous book.

What I liked about this book is that it "delivered" what I wanted! IMAGES, few words that were sufficient, and no long dissertation on the botanical views of flowers. I got a book of the beauty of the flowers in a way that the idea of Beauty was clear and simple! Thanks!

Lovely photos. Not using this book for cut flower arrangements but for painting design and layout. Great inspiration. Excellent large photos.

This book is an absolutely beautiful book. The colors of the flowers are breathtakingly gorgeous. The photography is so close up and detailed. I have never been disappointed with a DK book. There is always excellent photography and information. There is a floral arrangement of different themes of color and flowers. The flowers in the arrangement are shown individually with super-sized closeup pictures As an artist, this book is a great floral reference book. This book makes a great gift for a floral artist or someone interested in floral arrangements.

Book contains lot of pictures of flowers.It must be a flower arrangement book.I bought it for painting.Not all are high resolution images unlike many dk books I bought but otherwise author has done a good work.

I really liked the ideas in this book and how it showed you how to do them yourself. Clearly written by someone who knows the subject inside out and has a true passion for flowers. Exquisite.
