Leica Visoflex 2 Electronic Viewfinder for M11 Camera

Every M11 owner should own this accessory. If critical focus especially with a 135 or fast lens is needed I cannot recommend highly enough!

The product did not work on a 6 mo. old Leica M11 - dealing with customer service was difficult because the service rep had an accent combined with talking too fast. This is one of 24 orders i have placed in the last 3 months and this is the first one that turned out to be a problem.

The price about $750, is a real put off. I was strongly encouraged to try it to assist in crisp focus, and thru the sensor/lens enhancement. That was great advice. After three international photo trips, I am in love with this device. I strongly encourage other Leica M11 users to spring for it. Light weight, and draws very little battery power to operate and provide vastly enhanced data.

The Visoflex 2 makes critical focusing easier on longer lenses especially the 50 / 75 noctiluxes. Aids older shakier users like me!

Owner of the M10-P (and S2, SL2, Q2...) I found myself using the original Visoflex at all time over the years on my M10-P. It is so much more precise than the optical viewfinder (OVF) when it comes to framing, focusing, and instant exposure control.The new Visoflex 2 is better in term of image rendition (on par with Q2), and the mechanical mount is more solid than the previous one.We lost the GPS tagging, which is really too bad as I think it will become the gold standard soon to sort and search in our library. However, nowadays, Lightroom and even iOS allow you to enter the location on any untagged image, so I don't feel this omission to be too disruptive.Waiting for Leica to offer a real EVF Leica M-mount body (without back screen please), then I'll upgrade my beloved M10-P... only then. Good job on the new Visoflex, though.
