Product Description Candy with a cinnamon explosion in a taste blast that lasts. In the early 1930's, ferrara pan candy company created the famous red hot using the cold panned candy method. The idea of a piece of cinnamon hard candy was developed prior to the production of ferrara pan's red hots. The name "cinnamon imperials" is a generic name used by the candy industry to indicate a piece of cinnamon hard candy. The cold panned process involves building candy pieces from candy centres and tossing them into revolving pans while adding flavour, colour and other candy ingredients. This process continues until the pieces become the desired size. Ingredients Sucrose, Corn Syrup, Modifeied Food Starch, Artificial Flavor, Gum Acacia, Confectioners Glaze, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax and Red #40

Love these sweets. Great buy for a someone who loves cinnamon. Additionally, the seller: SOUTH AFRICAN FOODS always does a great job with storage and shipping. Never had a problem with any sweets bought from them. Highly recommended.

Cinnamon for seconds
On the hunt for the cinnamon candy from my childhood visits to grandparents in Florida - I found these.Fantastic (synthetic) cinnamon hit at the start, but doesn't last long at all. Once the coating has dissolved you are left with a corn syrup center that I find really quite unpleasant!Nostalgia never lives up to reality. Or maybe my sweet tooth hasn't lasted with age?

I buy these in US when I visit, but with a couple of years in between trips I always suffer withdrawals after a while. These are very good value, I've not found them any cheaper in any specialist shops, and buying in boxes of 24 means I can hand a few out to the family too.
