Unique Yard Art
Ok, this is pretty big. It comes in 3 parts, The spinner on top which just screws into a piece of the pole that holds it up and that screws into one more piece of the pole with the prongs that go into the ground to stabilize it. Two of the glass balls had fallen out during shipping. I was able to wedge them back into the wire prongs that hold them. They seem secure enough now. The outside spinning row spins freely and easily. The middle spinner is more tightly connected and requires more force to spin it and the inner most spinner basically has to have Arnold Schwarzenegger push it in order for it to move. Realistically, in a breeze, the outer row is the only one that would possibly move. That said, as others have noted, it’s more whimsical yard art than spinner. It has a unique look though and it is a good size.

Looks great, but doesn't spin
The weight of the arms is too heavy or the cups aren't big enough to spin the arms. Not sure what it is, but I live in one of the world's windiest regions (at the mouth of a natural wind tunnel in the pacific NW, where gusts get past 45-50 mph when a weather front moves through), and this thing isn't budging. Not even with it placed directly where the wind hits our yard at it's fullest. The upside is that it's a beautiful piece. It simply doesn't work as it's supposed to. I'll try oiling it again, but otherwise it's simply decorative yard art that doesn't move, which isn't what I bought it for...but it serves enough of a purpose as art (i.e. - I really like the way it LOOKS) not to return it.

Wind Sculpture not Wind Spinner
My wife and I really enjoy this item. Some have expressed disappointment that it does not turn easily in the wind, which is true, but to our thinking this is not a problem. Contrary to it's name, this is more a sculpture than a "spinner". It does turn slowly in a breeze, which makes it a visually appealing, albeit slow-moving, kinetic sculpture. The pole is two-piece and threads together cleanly and easily. The glass beads are held in place firmly, and though we've only had it outside for two months, the finish seems to be holding up nicely so far. The price on Amazon was about a third less than the local aquarium store where we first saw it.Bottom line: Yes, I would buy again, or recommend to a friend.

Money Well Spent
My stand came bent and I'm afraid to bend it back for fear that I would break it. I got this just in time for a house warming party we had at our home so I kept it - bent and all. It doesn't spin around a lot but it is very attractive. I have gotten many compliments on it and it is huge!! Bigger than expected.

Pretty but not sturdy
This is attractive but prong going into ground isn’t very sturdy. And the stem screws together and the joints don’t sinc together very well.

Works great!
Read some other reviews on this item, and was quite surprised at the negatives. We purchased this item from a vendor while we were on vacation. A friend liked it so much, we wanted to purchase it for her birthday as well, and found it here on Amazon. Ours always works so well, even at the slightest breeze - and the one we purchased here performs the same. I can't understand why the other reviews I have read had customers whose products performed so poorly, but can only assume they set it against a wall or something. It is a wonderful addition to our home flower garden, and our friend's garden also.

Wind spinner
Price is good but the quality is not that great. But it looks nice and does move as expected. Not as large as I had anticipated but is a good buy for the price.
