Mitsubishi Pencil UMNSP05.63 Gel Ballpoint Pen Uni-Ball One P 0.5 Grape

Absolutely love this little pen!! It took a minutes to get comfortable in my hand because it’s short and stubby but it’s my favorite pen - also got the .5 in another color and the combo is everything! I use it in my common planner which has the Tomoe river paper and does not bleed through. The ink is black black!!! Writes smooth very thin line and no skipping! Can smear if run over too quick or on certain types of paper, but on the tomoe paper it dries after a second or two and smearing doesn't impact me too much. Will smear with a highlighter or marker over top.

I gotta say, I didn’t expect to love a pen like this!My boyfriend bought this for me originally saying “this one won awards in Japan!” And I brushed it off and said thank you. But I love it so much I bought three more lol!I see why it won awards now, very smooth, no skips or blots. Comfortable to hold even though it’s a little bit thick and short. I’m going to keep buying these!

A little pricy for a pen, but my husband loves it. I got it for him when he got his promotion & the color was perfect, his fav shade of orange.It’s thick and writes well

Updated 6/6/2025: I found out later this pen has another nib size of 0.5mm, might be even 0.7mm which I think would be a lot smoother than 0.38... I will try that later. One thing I would apologize is that, I shouldn't use the word " leftist", instead it should be, left-hander.Original:The pen looks pretty... I think there's a reason of its being short(L116mm) and fat(W14mm) - some people might find it comfortable to hold a fat barrel (if you are full-size fountain pen user). Secondly, I find its nib too "fine" at 0.38mm for me, and somewhat scratchy on paper. Since it is a Japanese-made pen, I think its intentional use is for writing Asian characters, Westerners would definitely find it too scratchy (not smooth) for English journaling, unless you slide the pen effortlessly on the paper; for a heavy writer, this is definitely not for him, maybe good for a "her". The ink is excellent and dries fast, almost instantly, good for leftists. If I can give 4.5 stars, I would.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I love this pen! I write really small and this pen is perfect. My letters don’t blend together.

Not my go to pen but Mitsubishi pens usually are. This one is just incredibly bulky and short which messes with my handwriting. It’s great for my purse since it’s so small so that’s where it lives. You get a ton of ink and use out of this regardless of it being so small.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The extra fine point and comfortable fit while writing!

Love this pen do wish I got the .5 size but that is preference
