No workable app for my Galaxy phone
I love the idea behind this and the look of the product itself but after 2 weeks of trying to get an app to work on my Samsung S24, and contacting the parent company as well, support for Android has been discontinued for the newer phones. It appears the product itself is no longer being made.

App no longer available
The company that makes these is apparently out of business. The app required to make the camera work is no longer available on the Play Store or Apple Store. Their website is 404.The camera adapter will not work without the app. I'm sending mine right back for a refund.

Rated features do not match up to the product
Love the idea. Have not found a Pictar Mark II that fits my 12 Pro Max or my previous X Max. I'm a professional photographer and this would be perfect if I could find one that fits. Hopefully soon...

fun accessory
Bought this for when I'm doing tech scouts. Was using a small Fuji x100s but found I wanted a wider FOV that the camera phone can give. The main purpose was to get something that would fit in my hand well and allow me to press the shutter like a traditional camera. I like how this feels in my hand.I've not dug deep in to the controls, but on the couple instances I've used it there are some manual controls that prove helpful. Overall I like it. It's a fun accessory. Same challenges are present as you're now carrying another pc but for work, it's fine. As for the price, I did think it was a bit pricey, but we'll see if it pays off.

I don’t know why I bought this
I thought it would be cool and fun and an easier way to take photos as I hobble around the neighborhood.. It did not make it more fun. To be honest I had more fun buying this than using it. It now resides in the dark corner of my desk drawer. The unit arrived with the battery DOA and I had to order a new battery as it is a non standard size battery. You have to take you phone case off for the unit to clamp onto the phone, so there is an extra step of prepping your phone for camera duty. It’s a great idea and I wish I could, use it more but the inability to have it come easy on/off is a deal breaker for me.The construction is robust and it does feel very cameraesque when holding it. The software was ok.

Not as bad as originally thought
This item is not intuitive but I discovered an online manual that explains the functions of the device. It is not as robust as I would like it to be but seems to be much more comprehensive that I originally thought. I might even increase my rating as I get more accustomed to its use.

Don't waste your money
Bought this over a year ago and could never get it to work properly, I threw it in a draw and forgot about it until I came across it several days ago. Put fresh batteries and reread and watched videos to give it another try only to be reminded of how badly it worked the first time. I can even begin to describe how badly it works, was going to put it on ebay but notice that they were being offered for less than $ 30 and therefore really not worth the effort. The final straw however came when I try to delete and reload the app to my phone, I had to scan the bar code which means I needed to have the box it came in; good luck with that. After I post this review I will head to the kitchen and deposit the Pictar mark ii in the trash can
