Very comfortable hook for tiny crocheted patterns. Smooth slide on light weight yarns.

This is not sold as an ergonomic hook because it's not ergonomic so I gave it one star on that feature and I wasn't looking for an ergonomic hook; I was looking for this one. =)Otherwise, like all Susan Bates hooks, it's the standard, smoothly well made, dependable,durable, well balanced, correctly proportioned, useful crochet hook that fit my needs.

These are great hooks but I was shocked by how sharp it is along the hook edge. I had to use a nail file to sort of dull the edge so it didn't catch the yarn. I also ordered a set and they are also sharp. Be careful.

In order to crochet some doll accessories, I needed a smaller crochet hook than what I already had. This crochet hook is just the right size for one of the skeins of yarn I have, and it's a pretty color (a very pale, silvery pink) . . . but those are the only good things I can say about it.My biggest complaint is the fact that the hook is sharp. Very sharp! (Not the tip, but the hook part that faces you.) Not only does it have a sharp point, but the edges of the hook are quite sharp, too. It didn't cut my yarn, but I'm seriously worried that the sharp edges will fray the yarn, weakening it with every stitch, and causing it to frizz up. I showed the crochet hook to my mother, who's been crocheting for at least thirty-five years, and she suggested I throw it away immediately.I also found that the handle isn't very comfortable. Something about it felt awkward when I tried to crochet with it.I'll give two stars because the color is lovely and I like how the hook is deep enough to grip the yarn securely. However, I can't recommend this crochet hook, and I won't be ordering any more from Susan Bates. In fact, I'm off to order this size hook from Boye, which is the brand of my other crochet hooks. They're shaped better and definitely don't have sharp edges or points!

Made crocheted doily. I only use Susan Bates hooks. I feel I get a more even stitch with them.

These hooks are great quality and very comfortable to crochet with. My favourite hooks to date. I can't stop collecting them, they're awesome! For crocheters that hold their hooks like a pencil, these are better than hooks with a silicone handle.
