I like the mirror but I am very disappointed that it came in an extra large box surrounded by styrofoam. Had I know that this was the packaging I would not have purcahsed it. I cannot find a place to recycle styrofoam but can recycle bubblewrap

I ordered 2 for my bedroom, which only has 1 window. I hung them in a symmetrical arrangement on either side of the window so they reflect a french door. They are well-made, the wood is nicely finished to resemble metal, but not necessarily mascarade as metal. They are the likeness of a porthole, but don't pretend to be portholes. I like that honesty. (Besides, I'm not going for nautical motif.) The beveled mirror is really a sharp detail! I had thought the finish color would be silver, but it is more a silver-gold, or silver-brass, very subtle. That didn't matter to me, because I hung them on warm grey walls. As for hanging them, you will see the mirror comes with two hangers on the back of it, and you have to install wall anchors. Don't ask me any more about it, though, because I called in a handy person to hang them!

The distressed scratchy look dated the frame, and so painting it with leftover Apple White Benjamin Moore paint gave it an upgrade. Place an antique pond boat in front, and, voila, a beautiful display of a childhood memory!

Cool Mirror! Looks like a porthole in a ship. Everyone loves it! It's bigger than expected which is great.

I love this mirror! It was about $20 cheaper through Amazon and I didn't have to haul it from the store to my car and into my house. It's the perfect accent for the beach/coastal theme I have in my house. I get a lot of compliments on it.
