I was actually hoping that this manual had some operating instructions since I don't have the original CRV operating manual. It seems to be only concerned with repairs, which is fine if I ever decide to take on any of these repairs. I did learn some interesting information about the proper way to tow AWD vehicles. I'm sure I'll learn some other interesting tidbits as I peruse the book.

Excellent resource and manual for troubleshooting and fixes and I really like the step by step how-to instructions with numbers and arrows pointing to the part in the pictures for the steps. Super simplified and straightforward to follow. It is completely idiot-Proof and a MUST HAVE RESOURCE for the Novice beginners to the Advanced Professional DIY mechanic!!!

I've liked Hayne's manuals in the past but this one combines honda civic and crv and a wide range of years too. My engine compartment layout is not found in the 3 example diagrams. I have the 2.4L engine (2010 Honda CRV) and none of mine look like the pictures. Mine is a mix between the 1.7L and 2.4L pictures. In some instances the owner's manual is more helpful which is crazy. Its better than not having a detailed manual but I would have rather had something more specific to my vehicle, which is why I purchased this to start with. It covers too many vehicle options. Some have timing belts, some timing chains, which is yours? Etc. Its a puzzle to figure out every time.

Haynes don't do a British manual for this car so i took a chance on the US version. Glad I did, the pictures are better than a British book, lighter and clearer than many Haynes books i have had in the past. The differing descriptions in american language like lug nuts for wheel nuts are easy to get by but they seem to so much more information in the US than we do here, why is that?Worth the investment.
