Essential for anyone wanting to do their own maintenance or troubleshoot their truck without getting gouged by a mechanic. This book contains detailed procedures for any sort of maintenance/general repair you can imagine, including diagrams. Armed with this book and the wealth of knowledge on YouTube, I feel like I can run with the best Toyota mechanics out there.I personally own a beautiful beater of an 04' V6 Manual-Transmission Tundra that was neglected by the previous owner. I searched for days on the internet and in my owner's manual (to no avail) for information that was on the third page of this book.One of the most valuable investments you can make if you care about your truck. The knowledge in this book was curated and sent by the Elders and sent here for us. Thanks to the help I've gotten from this guide, the guts in my Toyota are on course to outlast the sun.

Nice book for repairs

I've used Haynes manuals for years on a variety of vehicles. This one is likewise very good but not perfect. Invariably, older vehicles don't behave like the nice new ones the writers and mechanics disassembled to prepare these manuals. Screws and nuts are all rusted tight and no amount of penetrating oil does a whit of good. On this particular manual, I needed to replace a tail light that had a faulty wiring harness as well as all four O2 sensors. The former required hours of drilling out badly rusted bolts. The latter was a failure after rusted bolts broke off and I had to take the vehicle to a mechanic to replace the fused mounts. Knowing how to do a job and actually working through the realities of repairing old vehicles are miles apart. More attention in these manuals about dealing with all of these complications would be a real improvement.

I got this because the more narrow range manuals (year of truck) were back ordered and this seemed like it was the same manual. It's not. It's got detail but not as much as the specific year of the truck. That said, it covers a lot and although not as specific as I would have preferred, not bad as a general reference that will get you through most repair....or at least give you an overview that keeps you on course.

It's a Haynes manual which has all the information. It does assume the reader has basic mechanical skills but it's all there.

Wish it had detailed diagnostic procedures for the HVAC system. Bought it because my rear A/C isn't blowing cold and the manual doesn't have any diagnostic info for this. The manual suggested that I need to order a specific electrical and HVAC manual. Fair enough; wish I'd known that before I ordered. If I missed this in the ad description, then my bad. If it wasn't there, then it should be.
