Got this Mikasa Peppermint Christmas Holiday Twist Glass Candy Dish for the upcoming holiday season. I wanted to love it. Unfortunately the quality doesn't line up with the value. Dont get me wrong, it will do the job as a candy dish. But it looks like a kindergartener just learning how to color in the lines made it. Quite a few red smears over the lines. I do wish it was a little deeper to hold more as well. Let's go with pretty but flawed.

Candy dish is perfect size to set out on a coffee table along side holiday decor. I think it'd make a thoughtful hostess gift too - it arrives in a small box wrapped in tissue. It's a cute and fun design and would also work as a small serving dish for an appetizer that doesn't need a deep dish, like for crackers and veggies for dipping.Mine had minor flaws in the paint that you don't really notice until you are really looking at the dish, like someone accidently colored outside the line in 2 tiny spots (see photo).

This honestly isn't necessarily my style, I jumped at this because of nostalgia factor for me. It reminds me of something that my grandma would have in her house lol. This brand is generally pretty high quality and this is no exception. The colors are vibrant and it's got a good weight to it. I love setting it out and although it doesn't have candy on it right now because I know for a fact I will just eat it all immediately, I can't wait to put out some cute Christmas candy when we get into December. I'm still coming down from my sugar rush after Halloween though so I'll probably wait a bit longer before putting that out. It's a nice way to bring some festivity to your decorations and I really like the size of it. It won't hold a ton of candies at once, but I wouldn't want it to honestly. It fits perfectly on my entry hall bookcase so I wouldn't want it any larger. Overall I recommend it if you're looking for something just shy of tacky to add to your holiday decor

Since we were married some thirty five years ago we have found ourselves buying Mikasa products. Mostly accessories. They are always unique and attractive in design and very high quality. This candy dish is a great example. The dish looks like a larger scale version of the popular mint seasonal wrapped candy that we enjoy so much. What better, more attractive, perhaps whimsical gift or accessory to have in your home during the holidays or even year round. Highly recommended

We have yet to fill this with some festive candies, but the tray itself seems like a good buy overall. The glass appears well made and not cloudy, no sharp or jagged edges, the red colors are bright and even across each line, and the capacity is perfect for a bag of Hershey Kisses!One con is that our tray doesn't sit perfectly even, so there is a slight wobble to it. It's minor but noticeable. Other than that we're looking forward to having it out all season.
