This is our favorite base for a Chinese dish. I add chicken, soy sauce, onion, green peppers and mixed frozen Chinese vegetables. It is so good.

Love Rice a Roni! I’ve been eating it most of my life. It’s affordable, tasty and very versatile. I always add some veggies and ground beef to mine. I use about half the amount of butter that it calls for using a nonstick pan. I also use broth instead of water for extra flavor.

I love this stuff. It's a nice change from plain rice or potatoes as a side dish and it's insanely versatile - add chunks of smoked sausage or shrimp or ham or whatever leftover meat or chicken is in the fridge, and you have a nice one-dish meal. Not always available in the stores so I buy cartons of 12 boxes. Doesn't take up freezer space but keeps for a long long time so it doesn't hurt to have a few extra boxes. Note that you need to add a can of diced tomatoes - whatever kind you prefer but IMO the fire-roasted ones are worth the little bit of extra money.

I wasn't sure about browning pasta, but that was easy and worked out to be tasty. I make these using my own seasonings, and they are near zero (0) sodium. I use a mushroom powder from Taiwan, a little lower sodium salt from the Dead Sea, and a bunch of Italian herbs. Works well for Mom who has stage 4 CKD.

Flavor is ok. Good value so far.

Very delicious and for a great price deal that we got it for!!! 10/10 it's also much healthier vs the more sodium one! :D

Cooking tip: when sauteing use real butter and cook until vermicelli is a mahogany color
