Hard to tell what the pieces actually look like from photos on mat paper- they probably look a lot different in person. The print was rather small in the articles on the artists and tiny on the piece. Did not care for the typewriter type font.

I was disappointed in this book, in that it is difficult to read and follow. I spent an hour trying to figure out who did the cover art. Artists are in alphabetical order but page numbers for the artists are hard to find.

For an art book it is disappointing. The photographs are poorly done, the entire book seems to be digitally printed, the paper appears cheap also. I don't like the presentation of this as an art book.

Tiny print, hard to read. And LOTS of it/text. Mat texture of paper detracts from photo quality. Some important artists missing. Disliked almost all the artists/art but that's personal taste.

Poor typewriter don't throughout...what is probably intended to be an artistically ragged dustcover is just ragged. Poorly translated from another language. Poorly copied images. This book gives every indication of being a forged, copywriter infringement.

Excellent book for contemporary perspective on Textile art

The writing is abismal. I would have expected better from Phaidon. The reproductions are not vivid enough due to the Matt finish. However, a good list of contemporary textile artists

When I read some of the previous reviews I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this book - but am I glad I did! The editors have packed a lot in to this publication and it is well worth the money. Some of the previous reviewers commented on how small some of the font is - but it's readable, and again when you see how much is in the book you'll understand why. Also, as to the images they're fine. Considering the size of many of the works shown it's incredible the editors have managed to include such clear images. Well done. If I hadn't already bought it I'd buy the book again.

New book but it looks like it has been sat on someone else’s shelf for a few years. Tatty pages and front cover.
