I anticipated these would resemble large sticking plasters. In fact, they are absorbent pads which need to be secured in place and were unfit for the purpose I bought them. Very disappointing if you need the adhesive plaster type.

This has to be the best dressing for a bed sores .

My wee pal has a wound that’s taking months to date to heal. The surgery nurses who see him in clinic once a week, & showed me in great depth what to do every two days inbetween clinic visits always gave me spare dressings and also a few of the Ag+ silver dressings away with us to enableme to do as they did.Now, I’m all for we pay our stamp so we’re entitled to these things free from the nursing staff if I’m having to clean and dress inbetween the weekly visits. But after the last lovely young nurse looked at me as if I had two heads when I said the other nurses give me sufficient pads and dressings away, she said “wow, I’m surprised at that as these are really expensive” - but I couldn’t be angry at that comment as she was a lovely young nurse who treated my wee pal like a king. But she gave me enough to get us by til next visit.So I does my homework and seen the nurse wasn’t kidding about the price - but I was hesitant cos iv heard and even received so many fakes and opened goods from Amazon before, but took the plunge, would have a nurse friend check for authenticity and sign of interference etc… she duly did and I was relieved that they were both in date, the genuine article and sealed from the labs they were made.So now I know I will be using uncontaminated, sterile, genuine Ag Extra dressing under some genuine Tegaderm or Aquafoam dressing.Normally, I’d never buy things like this from Amazon for the reasons mentioned, but had my nurse friend told me there was sigh of interference in the packaging (even tho the box was worse for wear - but il put that down to the fact I saw the postie drop it outside - and they were in date until 2024 and the codes matched what she checked on her computer and other things to do with the ICO Nos. 🤷🏻‍♀️So given that, I’d recommend this site/shop on the site safe to use.
