Just what we were looking for
We had been looking for a mantel for some time at fireplace/home improvement stores and they were all so expensive! Finally thought to just look on Amazon. This mantel was easy for my husband to install, is very solid, and we love how it looks!

72" Fireplace Mantle
We bought this to replace an old Mantle after changing out the brick around the fireplace for tile. This one fit perfectly and the style is beautiful. This arrived from Amazon in two days. It was easy to install but required both my husband and me due to the length. It arrived well packaged and with instructions, French bracket, and mounting screws (we changed out the screws for longer ones). Tools we used were a drill, stud finder, and measuring tape. It took us about 15 minutes.The wood is light-weight, but looks nice with the finish on it. The color is a deep brown but still shows the detail of the wood grain. I like that there is a slight lip around the edge to keep items from falling off. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Needs Additional Securing
This is a well made product that would have gotten 5 stars were it not for the fact that it doesn't stay on the wall mounted board without screwing the mantle to said board. One screw did the trick though!

Easy to install
Pro, arrived in timely manner. Good condition. Easy to install on wall with mounting board. Then just place mantel on self locking mounting board. Great design.

Beautiful shelf with a lot of style. Love that it has a short edge around the actual top, nothing can slide off. Perfect size for my fireplace.

What's most important to know
Got this to put over my newly replaced gas fireplace. Had it installed by a handyman with my help and it went up quickly. It appears to be well made and sturdy and looks quite nice there on the wall. The only downside that I could see was that there were no instructions or template included showing the correct way to install so we had to figure that out ourselves. We bought another shelf (from another manufacturer) for our other fireplace that included instructions and would have liked this one to have it as well.

Don't buy
major adjustments had to be made in order for this mantle to be put up. The item is overpriced for the quality and cheaply made.
