A must for a great crab boil
Living in Maine it's tough to find good crab boil. Luckily, Amazon had my fix.

Along with our roasted turkey at thanksgiving, we also boil a separate turkey with Slap Ya Mama for gumbo and jambalaya. This is our favorite seasoning. So glad it’s on Amazon as we no longer make our annual trip to New Orleans. Worth the extra money to get the authentic taste.

Used this last weekend to do a Low Country Seafood Boil for about 40 people. Tasted absolutely great! One guest commented that he had lived in New Orleans for 20 years and this was the best boil he's had. Other guests also raved about it. There were other flavorful ingredients added in as well such as onions, garlic heads and lemons, but his was definitely the base. The name implies that it is super spicy, but it's not. Even the people in our group who aren't big spice people loved it. I wish it came in a resealable bag since we didn't need quite all of it but hey, what can you do? I guess that's what ziplocks are for. It was still delicious.Pro's:Tastes great and makes a fantastic boil.Con's:Bag is not resealable.

Glad I gave this a try. It was better than the other product that I always used (Louisiana Fish Fry Products). I left about 1/2lb aside so that I can sprinkle on the finished product along with other seasonings I always mixed in. This was such a great hit - my mom who doesn't like to eat crawfish because someone always makes it in a way that she doesn't like - she said "First time I actually LIKED eating crawfish"! My other family members loved it too - it was a home run guys! I'm not using the other stuff anymore - sticking to this! If only I can make my own (i'll research that later) b/c it gets expensive real quick! I make crawfish 4-5 times a year but now not living near Louisiana - it's $5 a lb ;( So can't eat it as frequent as I use to. Thanks for all the other reviewers - you all made it that much even better! Our family says thanks!
