This pedestal is exactly as described. It is lightweight and definitely needs the sand put inside for extra strength and stability, so don't forget that, especially if you're putting something heavy on it. It's a good color, and it will work beautifully for what I bought it for (to use in the garden for an armillary to sit on)Do be careful when attempting to get the black plastic plug out and don't stab yourself with a sharp object like I did. It's a bit of a stinker to get out. All considered, I think it's worth the money and am quite happy with it 😊*Edited with photo*

I love this column! I put it on my deck and placed a huge hanging flower basket on it. Amazing!! It's very lightweight, so you need to put some sand in it to weight it down. there's a plug on the base for it. Don't go crazy tho, otherwise it'll be too heavy to move it. I estimate I put enough sand to fill it one-third of the way. A heavy plant on top completes the balance. We've had some strong T-storms with high winds this summer in NH, and it held up beautifully!

This arrived in a very big box, so I had no idea what was inside. The pedestal is very nice, but lacks the weight necessary to withstand strong winds. Great for calm weather or a well protected spot.

Made of plastic with a very visible vertical seam on both sides. Extremely lightweight. Both top and bottom are symmetrical in size. Has an access hole on one end with a plug that allows filling the column with sand or gravel. This is a must if it is placed in a non-protected area. Mine blew over with a heavy plant on top when a mild storm blew through about 30 minutes after it was set up. It would be much more stable if the base were larger.

Light weight! Perfect size! Great quality! Hollow! Could use them for different purposes, decorating, displays, piggy 🐽 bank. 😂

Not at all what I expected. This is cheap plastic with obvious lines and splotches from the mold it was made in. It's very lightweight, which makes it unstable for putting objects on. Maybe from a distance it would be appealing, but I intended to use it as a plant stand beside my desk and it's cheapness is all too obvious. Definitely not worth $40.
