Cute little sandwich board. Does what it is supposed to do.

One needed a little fine grit sanding to be super smooth - Only the best for my Sammies.

I'll be honest here, I almost don't want to review this product because I'm afraid the next time I want these, they'll be sold out again.... I ordered one in Nov. 2013 because I needed a new small cutting board and since this is a 2-pk, I thought the second one would make a nice gift paired with new paring knife for a friend. It arrived and I was thrilled with the quality. They are almost too nice to use as a daily cutting board, more like a fancy one to present cheese and fruit on. You can't really tell from the photo that one of the cutting boards is a light color and the other a dark color. I ordered several more to have on hand for hostess and wedding shower gifts.**Update** Here it is 5 years since I purchased my first set of these cutting boards and I am still using the original ones. I love them because they really last - better than my large bamboo cutting board which has been replaced - and they are the best thing with active teenagers always wanting to cut their after school snacks like apples, etc. Quicker and easier to wash and keep the kitchen tidy with a small, useful board like these. I had to search several years of Amazon orders to find these again to order for some hostess gifts around the holidays!

I needed a small cutting board, and was hoping this one would work. The dye on the darker one comes off when you wipe it with oil, and both have little splinters sticking up after one use. Sorry, but I would not recommend.

I love the look and size of the boards. I planned to use them for serving sandwiches. The problem is that they start smooth but after they get wet, just rinsed under running water, the surface changes and becomes rough and unfinished. I tried sanding it lightly and it became smooth again but as soon as I washed it the surface became rough again. I’m going to return them.

After washing they splinter and become very rough! I am not sure how to fix the rough issue without using any harsh chemicals or dangerous varnish. I bought many to use as donut plates in a small coffee shop. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remedy the roughness, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Beautiful little cutting boards. Acacia always was one of my favourite woods because of the colour and grain. These cutting boards show off these characteristics perfectly. The size is ideal for small tasks such as cutting a single onion or a small piece of meat, and having 2 boards means you can keep one for cooked foods and one for raw to avoid cross-contamination. The little hole in the corner is very handy for storage; you can just hang them anywhere and they'll look great.They aren't too thick, but given the size, I doubt there will be any problems with warping, provided proper care is taken (as with all wooden products). Wipe with mineral or cutting board oil every so often, do NOT wash in hot water, wipe dry immediately after washing, and of course don't put it in the dishwasher.

Perfect size for pictures of anything miniature and small. I use them as photo props and they are perfect! They are very small though so not practical for anything other that photo staging or decor. Very good quality and the finish is great. Highly recommend
