Good starter chess set
Cheap convenient chess set. Came in handy to teach my wife how to play.

I bought this for my classroom and it’s perfect for the kids! I didn’t want to spend a lot on a chess board knowing they will just lose pieces and this is just what I needed! I will be ordering another when inevitably, a piece goes missing !!

Great
My wife was learning to play chess through an app on her phone so I decided to surprise her with this. She liked it, but didn’t continue to use it after she stopped learning how to play. A great inexpensive way to play and learn!

WHAAATS IN THE BOX?!?
My set arrived with all of the pieces, and both they and the board are in normal/fine shape. Shouldn't have any problem with using them and playing with them as intended.But holy smokes, that box that it comes in is made of paper, I swear. I'm not surprised to see all of the comments about it in the other reviews here. Do yourself a favor and if you're thinking of getting this make sure that you have a big ziplock bag etc. to keep all of the pieces in and just keep that with the board. Throw the super low quality flimsy box out ASAP.
