Writing peeled right off within days
I have had one of these signs hanging outside my home since 2003. The first two lasted about five years each, slowly fading to what you see in the first photo. I did put lacquer on one, but not the other. Yes I still have them; put them down by the campfire.I received my new sign on 29 April of this year and hung it in the exact same place the other two were hung. Yes it is outside, but since the first two signs did just fine, I thought this one would too. Also, I see in the reviews that others also hang their signs outside. After less than two weeks, the surface started peeling off (see 2nd photo). Very disappointed, as I love having this sign on our lakeside home.

Great but not for outdoors without protection.
I love this sign and it is perfect for my application at the end of my Tiki Bar on my dock. Unfortunately, it probably is not for outdoor use. As you can see from the attached picture, it deteriorated in less than three years. I bought a second one because I like it so well and will spray it with poly urethane before putting it up next year.

Faded Memories
This is a great sign for my patio. However as we all know , red is a difficult color to prevent from fading. I did seal it when I got it but it didnt seem to help. The lettering is fine.

A nice and a big plank. I will recomend to paint it with a laquer for outdoor usage.
