Great little tool!
Just what I was looking for to enlarge the holes in my tiny beads. Works well on both gemstones and pearls. I just wet my bead in a little dish of water, and then proceeded to drill. After each drilling, I wet the bead again and continue to drill. Great tool to have on hand, and much better than a manual reamer.

Far superior to the battery operated reamers
This product is far superior to the Beadalon battery operated bead reamer. The bit stays firmly within the collet when tightened appropriately. While there is no instruction "booklet" inside the box, the instructions for how to use the tool are printed on the outside of the box. I found that I had to turn the collet a little right or left to completely depress the button for inserting or removing the bit. That does not disqualify my five star rating. If I were to make a recommendation, it would be to place the on/off variable speed knob, up a little closer to the center of the tool for a little more control of the variable speed with the thumb. Otherwise, I am very happy with this tool. Well worth the price.

Great, fast reamer
I've had m reamer for about three days. In my opinion, this tool is great! I considered getting the battery operated one but choose this one for the higher RPMs. Also, I didn't want the hassle of the battery powered reamer having a low battery and not having any replacements readily available. The speed is great and been able to increase bead holes quickly. The only issue I had with this product was that there were no instructions included and I had to search the Internet for instructions on changing the diamond tips. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with this product.

Great for the occasional hobbyist
This is my first electric bead reamer so I don't have anything else to compare it with but I'm pretty happy with my purchase and I'll tell you why. The unit is quiet and fits right into my US medium sized lady hands. It's light enough to hold to work on multiple beads and the electrical cord is a generous length where I didn't need an extension cord. You can easily adjust the speed of the drill and that made this reamer a good buy worth the money. Because when you first insert the tip end into the hole you want to expand, you need to start slow to ensure the tip won't slide out of the hole. After making sure you got a hold of the hole, then you can increase the speed to your control.I am a hobbyist jeweler, at best and I started making my own beaded jewelry using gemstones but found that even "AAA" quality gemstones would come with a few stones where the size of the holes were not uniform. I bought a hand bead reamer but that quickly was proven a way NOT to go, as I would spend hours reaming one bead. I was hesitant to buy this reamer since there weren't that many reviews at the time of purchase but I'm glad I did.Two issues I have with this reamer, hence explains the 4 star rating. To me, the location of the power switch is a little too far off. I was working on a number of turquoise beads and wanted to finish them off in one sitting. While holding the bead in one hand, I held the reamer in the other but being needed to constantly stop and resume the drill to either change sides or beads was a bit cumbersome. I wish the switch was closer to the middle part so I wouldn't have to stop the project all together just to get to it. The second complaint is the tip of the drill. I wish they were more of a cylinder shape than a tapered one, so I would get a uniformly sized hole throughout the bead instead of having the opening larger than the inside. But I knew I what I was getting before purchase so it was not a deal breaker. Just a suggestion. Hopefully, this company will come out with extra tips so I can tailor to my needs.Overall, I think this is a good buy. It does the job well, just need to make sure to not put too much pressure on the unit into the bead, otherwise it will get stuck. After all, this is a rather economical electrical bead reamer so you cannot expect it to be commercial grade at this price. Hope this helps!

Made for lighter jobs
This tool was too flimsy for what I needed. It also got hot very quickly. I wound up using my husband's drill.

Great tool for the $
I’m a professional jewelry designer and have purchased several bead reamers throughout the years. Everything from the cheap handheld battery operated style to the very expensive professional grade Multi-tools, and this is very close to professional caliber quality, so for the price you can’t beat it.

Exactly what I Needed
I'm a beginner beaded jewelry maker. I was frustrated that the bead holes were often too small for the leather cords that I wanted to use. With this tool, I can easily enlarge the bead holes to the size compatible with the thin, 2mm leather cord I was using.
