Effectively Heats 10x14 Basement Bedroom
I purchased this to heat a basement bedroom for one of my kids and, so far, it has done an excellent job of heating the space. The design of the product protects the heating mechanism from the clothes and other debris my kid deposits on her floor, so I don't have worries like I did with many space heaters. I put in a double-pole thermostat, so we have some control over how warm it gets and can turn it off when she's gone during the day. I will say the directions that came with the heater said to connect the double-pole wires to the, "white and black wire" in the heater, but all the wires in the heater are black, at least on the model I received. However, the diagram in the directions was clear enough that it was obvious which wires should be cut and connected to the thermostat wires, so no real problem there. I did have to drill a hole in the back of the heater so I could screw it into a wall stud, but that was because of where I had to mount it - no fault in the design of the heater itself, and it wasn't difficult to drill the hole. The unit comes with perforations along the back of the heater that worked for the other screws, which is a nice feature so you don't have to drill holes for most mounting situations. The unit did smoke and smell, as the directions from the manufacturer stated it would, for about the first 30-45 minutes it ran. Since then there has been no smell and it runs silently - cannot hear it at all. It does an excellent job of heating the 10x14 basement room, which gets pretty chilly during our winter months. Overall, the install was simple, it works for the size room we have it mounted in and the design and quality seem outstanding. Will update if any problems arise as I've only had it in and running for about a week, but very happy with it so far.

Caught on fire
We replaced a bathroom heater. Turned on 3 times only at 60 to 65 degrees on thermostat. Went to bathroom to wash hands. Walked out and flames came out of heater, on my legs, turned off thermostat and grab baking soda to put out flames. Put on gloves unwired heater, and unscrewed from wall and through out back door

Lasted 6 years with 4 months/year use
Purchase 2017, installed early 18 as backup in garage bathroom for the cold months. Kept on a Honeywell thermostat at 62 degrees F November -February, hen turned off, flipped breaker when not in use. Died early January ‘24. Thermostat tests ok. Worked enough to keep pipes warm.

Only got a 4 star because of Instructions
Heater works well installed with the King thermostat, instructions terrible. Heats up fast, produces a lot of heat, thermo cuts off and on nicely. Made a few cracks and clicks when first turned on but otherwise no sound after running a while. Burn the the heater off, mid to high heat and open windows until smell is gone, does not take long. Pay attention to GFI circuit, I installed one ahead of heater, does not trip even when on high. Would buy again.

Confusing Installation directions
Made in USA doesn't mean made better. The directions were confusing, there are more wires in the actual unit than there are in the directions. Add the thermostat, and it's a nightmare. It would probably cost the manufacturer the same amount to have different colored wires and a tech writer go over the diagrams with a better explanation of how the unit operates. Plus, if you take off the front cover, it's impossible to get back on without scratching everything up. I'd pass on this unit.

Seems to put out a little less heat than 1000 W, but this heater is easy to set up and use and it has no control button, which is the reason why I chose it. Trust my experience, control buttons ALWAYS fail quickly on space heaters.
