Sunroof Track Assembly Repair Kit for Chevrolet Silverado GMC Sierra 2007-2014

This kit was exactly what I needed to fix my broken sunroof. It actuated super quiet and smooth now. The installation is not for the faint of heart as you have to pull the headliner down and then the sunroof glass and frame.

Worked perfect for 09 Silverado, didn’t come with all the rivets needed but I also bought a cheap rivet gun that came with an assortment so I was good. Directions were vague at best took a few try’s but got it all together correctly and functioning properly.

One of the sides was assembled incorrectly with the Cam car pressed to the arm backwards. Of course I had no way of knowing this until I had the entire sunroof assembly out of my truck and disassembled in the garage. Luckily I was able to press the pin out, reassemble it the correct way, and re-flare the pin... I just hope my repair holds. After 7 hours of work (2 hrs of which was troubleshooting and fixing this), I definitely don't want to go through it all again.Overall in the end it went together and worked. Just sucks paying for something that is manufactured incorrectly.As others have written, aside from my issue with the workmanship on the parts, this is a very involved project. Note that the instructions say everything comes out the 'back' of the tracks, this is not true. The entire front drain/motor assembly has to come out the front to extract the cams and lift arms.Also, the kit does not include several parts you will need:- 2ea 1/8" rivets for remounting the sunroof mount bracket to the lift arms.- 2ea 1/8" rivets for the front track stops.- 4ea 3/16" rivets for remounting the wind deflector.- sealant for remounting the track end caps and drain trays.

It working very well. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is it didn’t come with any new rivets, which are required to complete replacement.

Kit came with everything needed except all the rivets you need. There are smaller sizes you’ll need that doesn’t come in with the kit so make sure you have them before you start the installation and far as instructions they are completely useless. I’m pretty mechanically inclined so I was able to figure it out myself. Not a hard just Time consuming.

If your tracks have broken, this is a great fix without having to spend 100s at the stealership. The heat cracks the plastic parts in the tracks, and everything goes to heck.. this is an inexpensive fix for it. Little challenging to install if you are not mechanically inclined and have the tools. requires rivets and drilling out old rivets. If you have the know-how I definitely suggest this kit..
