Whims Watercolor Quilt Kits Heart in Bloom Quilting Supplies

I am a beginner quilter but I found this project easy to do. It was fun and now I want to try other watercolor kits too. The fabrics were especially beautiful and already precut so I could focus on the design. My only disappointment is that you need quilters fusible grid that I think it should be included in the kit. However, I gridded a piece of interfacing myself and it worked great.

I purchased this kit to start a new quilt. Although the actual fabrics do not match the one pictured (they're random) it did create a beautiful design & I got to choose how I wanted to place each 2" square. I can't wait to finish this quilt.

Have not made yet. Plan is to make mini quilt for next years valentines gift. Does not look difficult after reading the instructions.

I like the pattern. There were not enough fabric squares provided to create the pattern as shown. I ended up creating a gradient pattern instead. There were plenty of fabric squares which was good.

Easy kit. Not finished yet, but can’t wait to gift it to dear friend.

The little 2" squares have lots of nice colors and patterns. Very pretty. However, don't think you're going to get a RED heart out of this. I got a lot of blues, oranges, yellows, and pinks. And very little red floral! The picture depicts a red heart--but there aren't enough red flowers in my batch to make the picture look like that. I spent an hour trying to match the pattern. I've decided the heart pattern has to be BLUE, since that's the color floral squares I got the most of. I'm disappointed but I won't return it as I love a challenge.

This was a fun project but could be frustrating for beginners.

I was disappointed with the fabric swatches. I understood they wouldn't be exactly like what it's shown, but several did not blend well at all. A couple had kittens instead of floral patterns an a few had floral patterns that looked like children's art.The instructions were minimal unless you have quilter grid. The chart and key could have been more descriptive.
