T.W. Evans Cordage Co. 22-210 1/4 in. x 100'. Twisted Sisal Rope

This is a perfect match in diameter and strength to the original sisal rope on the posts that I am replacing, or rather rewrapping on an Armakat tree that has served 2 generations of cats well. However, I now have a new kitten and needed to replace pretty much all the existing tattered rope with a natural fiber rope that was free of both oil & chemicals. She’s a little over the 3 pound mark in body weight, so even the smallest amount of chemicals ingested from grooming could potentially be toxic. I also needed strong & durable to support her scratching, climbing & launching weight as she grows, while at the same time being easy for me to work with. I have weak hands/wrists so would need to wrap, tie, and glue down without much resistance. Surprisingly, this has turned out to be a super easy project once all the old rope and staples were removed. The bare post underneath is nothing more than cardboard like material. All I needed was a staple gun, glue gun, and patience. It was a matter of hot glue, wrap a couple rows, staple the top rows, continue to wrap and glue until you reach the bottom. Staple the bottom couple of rows upon completion and move on to the next tube. Now was the time to be creative and made a small platform post for one of my other cats. For the price, 100 feet is a bargain! 5-stars & cats approved!!! It’s holding up well to aggressive scratching & claw hanging. It's also naturally anti-microbial making it not only safe for your kitty posts, but safe for your body soaps or luffa on a rope!!!

I have 1 cat that just destroys the sisal on the cat condo. The rest of the condo is fine but the sisal areas look like a disaster. Not wanting to replace the whole thing, I bought this to just re-sisal those posts. Armed with a staple gun and and a hot glue gun...easy peasy. I chose this bigger size too because my cat is extra enthusiastic about scratching and figured the wider diameter would give us extra time before we had to do it all over again. It did the trick and while she still scratches like crazy...she isn't able to destroy it as quickly as before. Win win in my book.

Very tough, easy to work with, if you have a 18 inch tall post and want to wrap it with rope, it will need about 72 feet to re wrap, this role of 100ft is plenty!

This rope is very sturdy and made a great cat scratching post but it wasn't very cost effective when it was all said and done. I could have likely bought cat scratchers for less than the cost of the rope it took me to complete. I feel a little better knowing that I recycled cardboard tubes from my business but it was pricey to make my own.

Very nice sisal rope. There was more than enough to cover a 32 inch pole and my kittens loved it from day one.

The media could not be loaded. The first time I tried to use a thicker rope (1/2 thickness) thinking that it would last longer but my cat did not approve - seems like it was too thick and difficult for him to stick his nails into) I then reluctantly pulled that one off and redid did it with this one (1/4 inch) thank the cat Gods he likes it now and uses it multiple times a day, my furniture is now safe :)

I redid my cats scratch post with this. No smell to this rope at all. My cat will be happy with the finished project!

I decided to redo my cat towers instead of buying new ones. This product is a money saver that with staple gun use over glue will make the scratch-me areas as good as new (if not better). It is easy to use and the same diameter as the manufacturer used when making the scratching towers. Big savings gained with the investment of a little time. I had a kitty audience and offers to help when I redid my cat scratching posts. I do recommend this product.

Hot glued it on our old torn up scratching pole and the cat loves it. Looks brand new and the price is right compared to a new scratching pole.

Excellent pour confectionner des greffoir pour chat. Très résistant.
