They served the purpose so well.... We were making the night view of NYC skyline with newspapers glued on it, received a lot of compliments!

Like other reviews say, these are not black
I bought these to make bats for Halloween. Once I got them, I decided not to make the bats after all because of the color of the poster board. They are probably ok for some projects where you need black poster board. However, when I placed them next to the black bats I already have, the color looked more like a very faded black, like old black clothes you’ve washed many many times. On the plus side, this is nice poster board. It’s a good size, thick and very sturdy.

Not suitable for hanging on it's own.
I purchased this mat board for a student-grade art show. I intended to mat the artwork and hang it matted as-is (without a frame).This matboard is not sturdy enough to hang on it's own. It will work inside a picture frame, but not on it's own. Also note that the color is not dark black. It's a soft black, but not jet black.I hope this review helps others in deciding whether or not to purchase it!
