If you’re unsure BUY IT!!! this thing is amazing!!!! Just for reference I have a Chihuahua. She is on the larger size about 10 pounds. I bought the large car seat i drive a 2018 Acadia and it’s perfect!! It’s big enough for her to completely lay down in comfortably if she wants with room to spare. It’s memory foam with a fleece bottom in the inside it has a anchor that you hook your dog to in the inside of the car seat that is also adjustable so it gives her room to sit down or lay down the seat has a strap that goes underneath the center counsel that is also adjustable and then there’s two straps that you slide between the driver and passenger seats that anchor to the floor of your car that’s the part I like the most those straps make it very sturdy and secure. She absolutely loves it. She was never scared to sit in this at all ever! We both have separation anxiety from each other. I was using just a regular little dog bed to set on the center counsel because she always wanted to be right there by me but I knew that was not safe and I was scared that if I got into an accident, she would get seriously injured or killed so I went searching for a car seat finally found this one. I like this one SO MUCH BETTER than the ones that are strapped around the head rest of the seats because she can be right there next to me I think that helps a lot with her not being scared to be in the car seat as well. Compared to the ones that are strapped onto the seat. it also gives her height so she can look out all the the windows and see everything. Bonus it matches the color of my car perfectly! I didn’t really care about it matching in all honesty That was just an added bonus. I cared more about her safety. Final thoughts if you have a small dog that likes to be by your side at all times get this seat, you won’t regret it. I hope my review helps I 100% recommend this product

We were looking for a dog bed/sitting area that would fit well on the console between the seats in our Chevy Silverado 2500. Chad and Tara of the "Changing Lanes" RV channel on YouTube use this same seat for their dog Daisy. Daisy is a small dog, apparently smaller than our Trixie.But in measuring, it seemed like the "large" size would be the best for us, our full size truck and for the comfort of our doxie.These are expensive!But, well-made and our Trixie, so far, seems fine being in the seat.Being set on the console puts Trixie about level with us, which she likes.Trixie can see out the windshield and doors fine, and before, even holding her, she was often upset she couldn't see what was happening outside the truck as we drove along.The complete box is firm but not totally rigid, with cushioning which Trixie likes to rest her head on. There's a thick sheep's wool like removable base on the bottom of the bed. There is also a removable strap attached to the base to hold in squirmy pups if needed by a collar or harness.The bed/seat attaches easily and firmly with plenty long enough adjustable straps on both sides of the back to attach the seat to the seat bases of the driver and passenger seats. The front of the bed/seat has a strap that goes around the console's opening lid.There are several sizes and other brands that can fit between the seats of a car or SUV.We wanted this one specifically because, in Chad and Tara's full sized truck, it looks like it fits well.In our Chevy it does fit very well!So, yes expensive, but well worth it for the comfort of our dog, AND us!I sent a photo of the seat sitting in its space in our truck, but not yet tied in.This Large model is 12 inches wide, and 20 inches long, and fits our 18-inch-long doxie very well.

We purchased this for our 15lb terrier mix for a long road trip in our 2024 Hyundai Palisade. He loves to be where we are, and this was perfect. It was a perfect fit to sit on top of the armrest/middle console between the two front seats. Very safe, secure and sturdy. Definitely recommend. It made us all happy!

I do like this product but not for its intended purpose. Everyone needs to do the research on animals during a crash. The straps that attach to the console lid and the one that attaches to your pets harness will not hold up during a real crash. The description says sudden breaking which is true. During a real wreck the straps are going to come apart and your dog will be launched through the windshield. It's also possible that the airbag would hit your dog in the face and injury them. [...]I bought this for my dog to sit in but will cut a hole in the back so his harness can be attached to the seatbelt. This car seat is in no way securing my dog in place. It just gives him a soft area to lie in and I do like that the sides and back are high which gives him more protection. Airbags must be turned off if the dog is riding in the front passenger seat. His harness is a crash tested harness made by Sleepy Pod and was part of the study on harnesses at the link above. Please read these results as there are so many harnesses out there that claim to be safe for car travel when they are not. Always buckle up your dog just like you buckle up yourself or a child. We love our dogs and they are part of our family so let's treat them like a family member.It is well-made and attractive and the measurements were as advertised.
