Bathroom Door

Well made solid core door with delicate laminate covering
I bought 5 of these doors. Four in 36" to replace sliding closet doors in our master bedroom with french doors, and the 5th was to replace the master bathroom door with a matching door. The doors came well packaged. They are very heavy. I was able to trim the doors to fit the openings as described. Once cutting through them you immediately notice that the pine wood has a thin MDF board laminate covering which is what makes it white (see photo). This covering scratches easily. I found that when I laid it on my workbench to rip the width and length, any slight movement caused indentations and/or scratches in the MDF. I don't think this will be a big deal because I plan to paint them and believe it will cover up just fine. I would recommend you leave the cellophane wrapping on the door while cutting to help minimize any risk of damage. I will buy more of these for the rest of my house! In comparison with big box store prices for solid core doors these are a good deal.

Not a solid pine door!
I would never have bought this door if I had known it was particle board or compressed particles. Whatever you call it this door is not a solid pine door.
