Good heavy duty stapler
This is a really nice, heavy duty stapler. It was listed as light blue, but it’s more grey than blue. But, still different (and cuter) than everyone else’s boring black stalkers, lol. I’d buy it again, it works great without jamming up.

Excellent stapler
Heavy enough stapler that it won't break like plastic ones. Very good quality and price. Love the pink color too.

Best Stapler out there!
How much do I love a Swingline 747xx? So much, that I'm on a mission to purchase every color ever made in that model.I saw this beautiful pink and I knew I had to get it as a treat for myself. It's so pretty and of course the stapling action is so smooth. It's a win/win!

That’s my red stapler.
I never thought I’d write a review for a stapler. This is the best stapler I’ve ever used very heavy and high-quality!

Excellent Stapler, and Milton-approved!
I got one of these for my wife for Christmas mostly as a joke because she's been working from home ever since the whole lockdown thing started, and I thought it would brighten up her workspace. She had a crummy stapler, and we had bought her a new one to replace it at a local chain store a while back. And I hadn't heard any complaints, so really the red Swingline was intended as a humorous gift. However, once she started using it, she thanked me profusely because as it turns out, the other new stapler we'd bought for her was not nearly as good. And unbeknownst to me, she disliked it and was having trouble with it. So this new red Swingline was not just a joke, it was a fantastic upgrade for her.The things that make this stapler functionally better than many staplers are:It's easy to load. The top-loading mechanism is fast and sure. You don't have to fumble with it.The stapling is positive and sure. It will staple through a thicker stack of sheets than many other staplers can handle.Lower force required to staple something.Smooth, well-shaped top that is comfortable for your hand when you want to really try stapling something thick! The surface of the plate that goes below the paper, and which intercepts the tips of the staples and directs them into the curved shape is very hard and smooth. And the shapes of the depressions that bend the staples over are well-designed.This seems like a trivial characteristic, but it's vital. With the shapes of these indentations being "correct", and the surface being very hard and smooth, the staples do not dig into the metal plate. Instead, they are smoothly deflected and then guided around to form the back of the finished staple.Staples need to have sharp points to penetrate the paper easily, but then those sharp points will try to dig into that bottom plate. So it is important that the points intersect with the depressions at an angle that causes them to glance off easily to begin the bending, and not try to dig into the metal. And of course, that surface must be extremely hard so that the points don't dig in or cause the smooth surface to wear or erode. The result of this being well-designed and made of good materials is that the stapling process is much smoother, with less friction, and far less tendency for the staple to bend improperly and crumple rather than form a proper finished staple shape. This seems trivial, but it is not. This stapler staples easily through more sheets, and doesn't cause the staples to fail the way a lower-quality stapler is prone to do. And it should last longer. So while the red Swingline is a humorous meme or icon, the fact is that this truly is a first-rate stapler. No wonder Milton did not want to give up his red Swingline!

It would be helpful if basic instructions were included with stapler, ya think?
I have not used a basic desktop stapler since retiring in mid 2010. The one I bought at that time was a tiny awkward one that could barely staple 3 sheets of paper and only held 6 staples. I expected this Swingline would be intuitive since it was never a learning curve when I was working. However this one was closed like a clam and did not react to my manipulation, given my reluctance to use force to pry it open. How much effort/cost to include simple pics + 10 words to get it up and working? That is why I gave it 4 stars for ease of use, since I am REALLY tired of having to waste time trying to find that missing info searching online, especially now with whoopy-do-AI boggling what was much simpler before it murked up that process. Honestly. P.S. I am a CPA, not an engineer. As far as first look, it seems to be a promising tool, very sturdy and pleasing to look at and handle. Masterful at stapling, with well-tucked staple ends. Fit and finish are excellent. I expect to have a long and happy relationship with it.
