Trident Case AEGIS Series Protective for HTC One - Retail Packaging - Pink

When I look for a protection case I want shock resistance and scratch/fall resistance. I cannot say for sure Trident's test stat in this area unless Im given a test data for review. But I drop it once or twice off about a 1 foot distance phone is fine. Does not feel as padded as my old iphone 3gs with defender by Otterbox. STOP here if you wanna safe time.Does this mean I would go Outterbox again I'd say no my recommendation stick with this one cheaper and seem to be fair in protection lack camera protection and front screen that's it. Not due to cost but rather a matter of function Outterbox cannot keep up with the quality game as before according to many findings from customers.As mentioned above camera is exposed too much I dont like lens is getting scratch before the case arrived hasnt gotten more as a truth but I want at least a clear film or better a layer of gorilla v4 glass built in to protect it.Lastly the screen they give a lousy plastic film yes as some have mentioned here but here is what I find. If anything breaks on your HTC one it's the sides and possible dents on the back aluminum cover. The glass is actually quite tough to fall and scratch. Now you've the case so unless it land on spear the shock should be absorbed. Conclusion no proper glass protection no big deal.Personal damage noted before the case came. Side scratch and small scratch for camera. I dont intend to throw phone around but Im not the most cautious person too. All damage are very very minor appearance do not interfere with function. I hope this will indicate what I found in my research means well camera, sides with HTC one you must extremely careful.For DIY guys you do have case cover replacement parts but HTC one made this one quite a pain in the neck to replace. Lots of hidden screws glues to deal with. No better tool from HTC yet but said to come out for consumer use.I have taken much of you time but thank you and hope this give you a better understanding on the phone and the case.

I bought this phone case several months ago and waited before posting a review. This protective cover is standing up exceptionally well to the test of time. I've dropped my phone (not on purpose) and the cover protected the phone against dents and dings. There is enough of a lip all the way around the phone to protect the screen somewhat. I wouldn't advise any one to test out my next experience & the protective cover is not advertised to be water proofed. However, someone spilled a cup of coffee on the tray where I had placed my phone. I have no idea how long my phone was sitting in the pool of coffee and freaked when I noticed. I wiped off a few splatters I found on the screen and wiped down the coffee covered back of the cover. When I pulled the two piece cover off I was pleased to find a dry phone. There was not one drop of coffee inside. I've had this happen with previous cell phones that were covered, maybe not coffee spilled, but glasses of water, and was not so lucky. I need to learn to be careful where I set my phone. The cover gives me a good grip on my phone (my hands are small) and the phone does not slip in my hands. Buttons are covered with a softer rubbery material and it is easy to turn the volume up or down, or pull up the flap to plug in your charger. The only thing that might have put this cover over the top is a flap covering the phone lens on the back. Otherwise, I would buy this case again, in fact I am going to buy another one.

The Trident Aegis was almost my go-to case, but the Otterbox Commuter won. Trident is the most comparable case designer to Otterbox. It has inferior features, but also has superior features.Its humble but awesome design includes a microphone dust filter and a breathable design on the inside wall of the rubber layer. I noticed that because of the breathable inner wall design, my HTC One would disperse heat from the back of the phone, helping prevent overheating. In the Otterbox, overheating happens a bit more easily. And the microphone ports get noticeably more dusty. (The Battery Booster Lite app will tell you the phone's inner temperature in the notification bar)But, the Otterbox Commuter won because of its newer rubber material, standard color options, and larger auxiliary port. The rubber material is less grippy, making it much easier to fit into my pockets, but still has a grippy hold on surfaces. For Verizon, my carrier, the only HTC One color option is silver/white, and Otterbox has the case to match (Grey/White. And the white hasn't stained yellow!). Lastly, the auxiliary port fits nearly all sizes of audio jacks, while the Trident Aegis is just a TAD bit small, unfortunately.I really like that Trident has a product standard that competes with and ALMOST beats Otterbox, but Otterbox has had a lot more practice.

I was previously using the Otterbox Defender on my One, but I didn't like some things about it and decided to go for this Trident case now that Trident was making cases for the One.It's less protection for sure, but it's much more stylish. There's several colors available, as you'd expect from Trident, and it doesn't add too much bulk. The case is a simple two-layer hybrid case that provides moderate protection with a silicone skin and an hardcase exoskeleton.However, I'm giving it 4 stars because the screen protector the product came with is absolutely awful. Even after cleaning the screen in advance perfectly, debris and dust still persisted or found their way underneath. I'm convinced that it attracted debris through electrostatic. I then opted for a different kind of screen protector when installing this one failed. On the bright side, the case plays nice with just about any screen protector.I recommend this to people who own the One and want to give it a reasonable amount of protection without having the phone increase in size too much. I highly recommend it to people who are looking for a more stylish case as well.
