Great
I loved these grips so much I bought another set for my Government model, too. However my strong suggestion is to compliment this product with AlumaGrips Frame Savers for Compact Size or Full Size Frame ([...]). These Savers cost only $2.50 per set and were developed to keep the finish on your frame in good condition no matter what type of grips you use. The Compact Size Frame Saver will fit all compact and officer size frames and frames with ambi safeties. The Full Size Frame Saver will fit all full size frames including bobtail, and frames with ambi safeties with or without the ambi safety. Frame Savers are only .005" thick and made of a durable and solvent resistant type material. If you are not going to use this or similar product the Pearce's rubber is going to swell inside of the magazine area to a point of contact with your magazine leading to eventual rip-off of the grips rubber or worse impede extraction of the magazine, all and all you are not going to be happy with it.Use an office supply for fitting:1. Cutting knife (like pencil),2. Cutting matt (self-healing),3. Thin short metal ruler for knife guidance when you cut off extra material.DO NOT CUT DIRECTLY ON THE FRAME OF YOUR PISTOL THE KNIFE WILL LEAVE DEEP CUTTING MARKSFirst, slide metal ruler under between rubber and frame, and gently cut rubber along your grips, use grip screws to tighten slightly so metal ruler will stay in place during cutting the perimeter of the grip, change location of the ruler as needed.Second, cut AlumaGrips Savers about 1/16 of an inch less than your grip perimeter, that will allow rubber to cover edges of saver making everything look monolithic. This product works better with grips without ambi safeties, you can easily cut rubber to accommodate ambi safeties, and use grips that don't have this cut. If you are using grips with ambi safeties you will need to cut rubber to accommodate ambi safeties and then fill in ambi safeties cut on your grip otherwise your safety is going to have an extra space to move and you are not going to be happy with it either. I used a very cheap method I split in half a Washer #8, painted it with permanent Black marker, and scotch taped it on the back of the grip, inside of the ambi safeties cut (you can't see it, it does the job, and you can always remove it).Last word: I think it works the best for the slim grips, but I also used it on a regular size grips, fits like a glove I am really impressed with this product.

PERFECT addition to a compact .45, especially this one!!!
I LOVE these grips! The the layer of rubber that seats - very nicely, I might add - under the rosewood grip panels give the Ultra CDP II almost a double stack feel, which is fine. I have relatively small hands, and they secure my grip on the sidearm even more so than with just the wooden grips, which I didn't think was possible! The grooved rubber finger grips really compliment the weapon.I use Hogue rubber grips on 3 other sidearms, and I love them as well, but I fell in LOVE with the rosewood grips the first time I wrapped my hand around them, and these front panel grooves with these grips only make it better! The Ultra Carry II comes with a textured panel on the rear of the handgrip, but the front is smooth, so these grips really do a nice job to create a strong, secure hold on the weapon! This sidearm was meant to be a backup sidearm to a full frame Beretta or Sig .40, but now I'm liking this so much this might end up being my primary carry weapon! This is a great choice for anyone with this weapon, looking to add a little more secure handhold! Very pleased.Didn't rate accuracy here because I plan on throwing some lead downrange this weekend for the first time with these grips, but I don't foresee any issues whatsoever.

Best after market finger grooves
These are some good solid finger glooved grips unlike others whose grooves have too much give when gripped. The only gripe is that I had to cut away excess rubber from underneath the original grips after I installed the finger grooves.

Get a grip
I have these on my Springfield full size , Ruger 22/45,(different size grip length and model # Pearce grip) and this model on High Standard Crusader Classic Officers' size 45 ACP. They allow you to get a super grip while retaining stock or upgrade grips to dress your pistol up a bit. I had Hogue on the full size but wanted the look of crossed cannons. Not quite as great amount of overall holding power as the full Hogues but very large improvement over most standard grips and very adequate for 45 ACP. Nice control on the 22 also. Price is great too, If you have Prime or add some other items shipping is free. In all cases fit perfect.

Looked and performed well
The finger groove insert fit well and the side panels were thin enough so that I was able to use the original factory grip screws to hold the insert and the aftermarket grips I bought with no problem. After all was assembled, I found that the finger groves were tight and not at all soft or spongy. Out of the package the finger groove portion of the insert felt like soft rubber but after assembly, was not all soft and there was no movement whatsoever, a definite plus. The finger grooves also helped manage the considerable recoil of the pistol. All in all, a good product, and I would buy again.
