GR86 Filter
It is what came on the car originally when I picked it up from the stealership. It does the job well enough to be trusted by Subaru, so itās likely best to stick with it.

OEM or Bust
Own a Subaru? Use the OEM Oil filter! Best bang for your buck and you know itās going to be the best for your Subie! I run mine for 3500 miles before changing out, ārecommendedā is 6k, but for the longevity of my motor - 3500 is my oil change mileage. Isnāt always easy to remove but living on the east coast.. unavoidable. Itās the oil filter I choose everytime.

The way an oil filter should be sent
The seller and Amazon did a great job packing my oil filter for my 2022 Subaru WRX. It arrived mint and authentic. Jdm Subaru filter from Japan to my doorstep with 0 damage to my filter or even the filters box.

Great filter. Iāve purchased 3 times. No crush washer!
This filter works great. I have purchased these 3 times without any drama.Things to note:-This does not include a crush washer, thatās the reason for 4 āļø s.I have a Fumitomo valve (highly recommend, look it up!), so this is a non issue for me.To install this:-Spin off the old one while you are changing the oil. Depending on where or who installed the last one this can be troubling. A Belt style filter removal tool may help here.- Let it sit for a moment after it is unscrewed to drain excess oil.- Remove, keep a paper towel handy to get the excess oil that will drip off of it-Wipe out the area where the filter was sitting, I usually clean the threads.-Lube inside of new filter with a little bit of new oil so it spins on and off easily with next change.-Tighten down. Hand tightening is sufficient. Donāt get crazy or the next time you go to remove it youāll shear the oil filter housing off (ask me how I know)
