If you're going to be using ranch seasoning use this one!You might save a little bit of $ with the other brands but they DO NOT taste nearly as good as this one. This is one of those things where it's truly worth spending a little more to get the real deal.This stuff is so easy to cook with!

I recently switch to making my own Ranch, as a) I was tired of having to buy the expensive refrigerated stuff to get anything tasty enough to make me eat salads, and b) on a low-carb diet, it's sometimes hard to find products that don't add excessive and unnecessary sugars. These attempts met with relative success: homemade Ranch is unquestionably preferable to the store-bought, but it can be a lot of work, especially peeling and mincing sufficient garlic (I hate cleaning a garlic press).So, I'll admit, I scoffed a little at using a store-made powder, despite a ton of articles on cooking sites rating this product as the best Ranch powder. I mean, store-bought Hidden Valley Ranch is alright, but certainly not up to what I wanted. In practice, though, this product produces a dressing that's miles ahead of the store-bought pre-made brands, even Hidden Valley's own flagship dressing. I can only assume that they have to make tremendous sacrifices in taste to make their brand shelf-stable and not require refrigeration, because it's a night and day difference.In summary: if you're struggling to stay on a diet, absolutely pick this up and make your own dressing. It takes 10 minutes with a hand-main mixer once a week, requires very few ingredients with the use of this powder, and the results are outstanding.On a side note, for those looking for a thick-pouring Ranch that's low carb, I've altered the included instructions to be 1/3 heavy cream, 1/3 sour cream, and 1/3 Hellman's mayo, with fantastic results.

I use this product in many recipes (including dips) and love the flavor but really do wish they made it with less sodium (salt)!

This was actually a better price than our Woodman's!!! It is a perfect way to snack on veggies ... toss a teaspoon of it with celery and cucumbers and it's darn close to a zero calorie snack!
