Woodland Scenics TR1572 Mix Green Decid Trees 3-5 (14) WOOU9572

I picked up this pack and another 24 piece pack of smaller trees, hoping they would help fill in some terrain gaps during a few of our tabletop games. I was not disappointed at all by what I got and the price point was excellent for the amount and quality of what I got. There were indeed 14 trees in the package, varying from light, medium and dark green foliage. Since they were all crammed in the packaging they did need a little TLC when removing so none of the sponge was pulled off other trees, but there was very little foliage loss in the process. It's up to personal preferences after that point on how much or how little foliage you want to have on your trees. I found that after I bent each branch with a long needle nose pliers to give them a more bushier, relaxed look, that some clumps were a bit too clumpy for my taste. All I did was lightly pluck at these bunches until I had them thinned out a bit and looking more natural and less clumped. The extra pieces I turned around and glued back onto areas that I thought could use some bits of smaller clumps or areas that had thinned out too much due to package removal etc.Each tree came with its own attached base that you could pop on and off, which made it easier for what I had intended to use them for. However, I would suggest if you plan to use them for gaming such as Warhammer, Star Wars Legion, The LOTR SBG then do yourself a favor and glue the bases to either a wider MDF base or use a galvanized washer like I've done in the photos. It adds some needed weight and stability so they don't get accidentally knocked over during movements. The washers also make for easier storage and transport if you wish to keep them in a magnetize storage option. I personally left them unglued to the trunks so I could remove the now heavier bases and keep them stored in a bag away from the trees so they didn't come lose and damage anything during transportation from home to shop and back again.The only other thing I did was I gave them a good soaking down of watered down PVA to help hold the clumped foliage together and on the branches. I hit them with this 2-3 times, because I plan to transport them quite often and wanted them to be able to withstand the constant handling of being moved around from tabletop to tabletop.

These are what I expected. I didn't want to bother assembling myself. They seem to be "sealed" in one manner or another but I will likely give it another spritz with PVA/water mix to harder it. Some of the sponge fell off but I was able to either glue it back on where I wanted or to re-purpose it (happily) on other things. Biggest complaint is that some of the side became flat in the box and in some places the trees branches have warped to create seems in the greenage. I am using this for war gaming (warhammer: age of sigmar)all in all, its a reasonable option.

These trees are ok. I gave them 5 stars because they make for good filler. If you want maximum detail you wouldn't want these on the front of a tree line but they certain work behind to fill in the forest. The price is definitely right.

Not at all like all the pictures.Returning.Reviewing the product as it, it seems "Premade" but it seems more like sticks and foliage thrown into a container and "trees" were made. Not super impressed.
