This book is in excellent condition and arrived faster than I expected.

I gave the rating I did because the book I ordered was used so I was thinking that it would be trashed. This book came fast and is in excellent condition. This book is required reading for one of my courses. It is a good read and very informative. The only problem I have is that I am unable to get into My Search Lab because I do not have the codes that came with the book. If somehow in the future with other text books you could make this possible it would be very helpful.

Arrived on time and in the condition as listed. This should really be a must read for any history or political science class really even though it is a required reading for graduate school courses. Really informative and not a hard read.

"Not compatible with this device"

I've only read 2 chapters so far, but this seems like a great text! Just make sure you read the fine print and that it is compatible with the device you want to read it on! It doesn't work with older (non-tablet) Kindles or your iPhone! For nearly $100 for an electronic version, it should work for everything!

Five Stars

I am working on a B average so far. It is because of your text book's content and organization.

The book contains useful information, but it is incredibly biased

The book contains useful information, but it is incredibly biased. It displays only base understanding of economics of social issues and puts human well being as the sole matter for the state. For example, when discussing the Great Depression, the book does not concern itself but for more than a few stray sentences (something, something, credit, something, something, stock market) with what caused the Depression or how it could have been prevented. However, the authors continue unabated to prescribe government action as the cure. Should the authors concern themselves with finding that cause, and see that government intervention in the economy caused the crash and poverty, then would their response still be to praise the expansion of government intervention? In short, the authors should have spent more time looking at how welfare policies came about and how well they functioned rather than apologetically justifying their existence.
