I was worried it wouldn't fit my car since I have a 2003 E320 and it didn't work for some. I assume they had newer e320 models but fortunately, it fit perfectly. I broke the previous one trying to remove it to buff the trunk lid. However, if anyone wants to remove it without taking off the trunk carpet, I recommend using a piece of fabric and wrapping it all around to remove it. The most sure way to safely remove it is to remove the carpet from inside the trunk and push the little anchors out.

The star is tooo large for the trunk of a 1997 Mercedes E320 it sticks up over the curve of the trunk. Is there a star for a 1997 E320?

I drive a Mercedes and got this emblem to replace the Yamaha emblem on my golf cart. Fit perfectly.

The product itself (the star emblem) was delivered on time and as expected. However, it does NOT come with the grommets needed to install. If you are lucky enough to be able to pry off the old emblem with your grommets in tact, then you won't need them. However, removing the emblem is also NOT as easy as it looks in YouTube videos or what you may read online. You have to be extremely careful when prying the star off the back of your car. Mine cracked and I was not able to preserve two of the three grommets. So since they were not included with the emblem, I ended up having to go to the local MB dealership and get them. The grommets should be includued, but that's an issue with MB, not this vendor. That said, this vendor should make it very clear that the needed grommets are not included with the emblem.

Little information

I purchased the new grommets when I ordered the new emblem. You have to work the grommets a little to get them in. I used a pair of lineman's pliers to finish installing them emblem. After working the 3 prongs in a little at a time, I finished pushing them in by using the rubberized handles of the pliers by working all 3 of the prongs a little at a time until the new emblem was flush with the trunk.
