I love this book. The animals are so cute and cuddly. Easy to follow patterns!!

I am enjoying making the patterns.

I have finished all steps to TeeTee the dragon, I thought! The first sewing step is sew the nostrils to the snot. Guess what, there’s no snot pattern. I’ve tried to contact them directly but to no avail.

Love the book however, pg 66 tells you to use the wrong yarn, says to use yarn B, when it should be yarn A. Pg87 round 2: should be 2 sc instead of 1sc in the same stitch.

Super cute animals! I’m an armature when it comes to crochet and this was my first time attempting a stuffed toy. I struggled at first to understand the patterns but after a few YouTube lessons I picked it up rather quickly. Keeping track of the stitch counts on paper was key in the project for me. I will defiantly attempt more of the patterns in the book.

When my nephew requested a red panda for his birthday, I searched high and low for a non-derpy pattern. After an exhaustive search on pinterest, I decided to go the book route and landed on this! Such a whimsical, but practical look. I used thinner, cotton yarn and the pattern still looks darling. Patterns are easy to follow and there are plenty of reference photos.

I am so in love with this book, the instructions are very clear to follow and it’s so much fun to do. I recommend it to everyone

Easy straight forward patterns to make, I'm an amateur crocheter and have made a few of these for friends and family.

I was very excited to receive this book today. Each of Mabel’s friends look as good as the other and I’m sure I’ll attempt to make them all. Although I have never made anything other than crocheted blankets… the quality of the book is great and I like the technique part at the beginning but could do with some more explanation in each pattern as the instructions seem basic. I am disappointed though that a British author writing a book appears to have catered for the US market in the terms used for the crochet stitches. It is the smallest of complaints if it is a complaint at all really but I did find it very surprising that US terms have been given the main body of the pattern with UK terms in brackets, as a newbie I do try to avoid anything that isn’t UK based in regards to crochet as it is quite confusing and picked this book because of the authors background and didn’t expect the US terms to take precedence over UK terminology. I notice others have made similar comments so I am glad it’s not just me! Moaning about something that seems so trivial seems silly but I do feel it’s worth mentioning to avoid confusion for beginners.

These are lovely patterns and I've made a few. If you don't use super chunky wool, and use aran or double knit weight, then the animals turn out smaller obviously. However, the author never tells you whether you should work in rounds or in a spiral; the authors instructions for a novice aren't great - she doesn't explain how to get in to the magic ring to start crocheting, for instance and the book is written in U.S.A. terms, curiously, as the author appears to be British, and it's really annoying how the British terms are in brackets for every single round - it's very distracting. Sorry about those complaints as the patterns and animal selections in the book are nice.
