Greenfield Made in The U.S.A. CTSVPS Series Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Box Cover, Gray

This is a very well-made, solid cover. I installed it about a year ago after the old cover broke off on an outdoor waterfall switch. This cover was easy to install, and the weatherproofing has worked well. All in all, a very good purchase.

So. I did not purchase this to use it outside or for its weatherproofing function. I bought this when I ran out of other options to prevent my 3 year old from playing with the light switch in the bedroom he shares with his twin. Playing with the light switch meant little to no napping and frustrating bedtimes. We tried a couple different child-proofing options before thinking of this idea and it has worked like gangbusters! The hinge on this thing snaps the cover back in place, so I installed it upside down (with the opening facing up and the hinge facing down). Light switch struggles solved!

The switch plate is one that fits multiple applications but is not as pictured. I needed the single switch cover so the one I received did not work for my application. I could have purchased the one they sent me at Lowes for less money.

So far so good. We'll see how waterproof this item is in a few months.

Nice quality piece to replace a missing cover that we had friend comes with the phone that goes behind the plate to ensure that it’s waterproof. Just screw it on and you’re done
