Great gag gift
My boyfriend is only a year and four months older than me, but being a mechanic he is hard of hearing due to the power tools he has used without ear protection for years. As a joke, since he barely hears me when I am talking to him, I ordered him this hearing enhancer to use. He found it funny and has enjoyed jokingly using it now and then

Great gag gift for that "older" person in your life
Given that this item is made from either cardboard or thin plastic, one would think it would at least be packaged in a box rather than a clear plastic bag. That's my only complaint. I got this for my older brother - he thought it was a megaphone. After I stopped laughing I told him it was an old school hearing aid. LOL

Did just what I wanted it to!
I know this is designed as a gag gift, however, I can never seem to hear my partner when he talks to me. (Although he usually chooses when the furnace is running & maybe even with water running also)! I wanted it as a hearing device & it works beautifully! It also works for him to hear me using as a megaphone when he has his earphone on ;) To make it easier to hold, I bought a cell phone strap stick on holder - this works great to help hold it for a full conversation!

it works
I did not buy this as a gag. I have lost a lot of hearing & my wife sits 5 feet away in living room so now I can hear what she says. However, I need a warning so that I can hold this device up to my ear. So, she still has to speak more than once. Due to that inconvenience I deduct one star.

Makes a great decorative piece for parties!
Used it as a prop for a party. It was sturdier than I thought it would be for being plastic!

When a gag gift lives for over a week, it's got to be good.
Awesome. My parents were constantly exchanging "What did you say"'s. I was constantly having to "translate" between them. Bought 2 for their anniversary. They were an instant hit and they were jokingly using them for a good week. Its crazy, but I think this gag gift actually helped them improve their communication. ;)

Can’t hear better
Well I bought it for my dad as of course a joke but thought it would be a little helpful with hearing but I know it’s not he uses it as a megaphone and that annoy me more than anything

This was a great gag gift! My little brother is feeling old at 21 so I thought it'd be a good gift and was right lol!
