Great stand!
This is a well designed high quality sturdy violin stand with a place to put your bow. It is a bit heavy, but folds up surprisingly small for its size. The place to put your bow *alone* makes marking up music as you go much easier.Note it is very stable—for a violin stand—but has inherently a high center of gravity and a narrow base. It won’t fall over easily but kicking it over by accident, while harder than a with a lightweight stand, would still be quite possible. Use reasonable care.

STURDY and PERFECT for my violin!
The stand is very sturdy, high-quality, and does exactly what it needs to do! I always put my violin in its case at the END of a practice session, but wanted somewhere safe to rest it while I am practicing and taking a quick break. I love that the bow arm height is adjustable. The front lever (circled in red) snaps into place to guard the neck of the violin and prevent it from tipping forward. I am using the Bonmusica Shoulder Rest (which is rather bulky) and it has no problem fitting into the stand. The best part? It comes ready to use straight out of the box! You don’t have to put anything together! Just pull it out, extend the height, tighten the nut and you’re ready to go!

Does the job - and shows off the instrument, too.
I like this product - it is stable, has a special fastener that secures the neck of the instrument in case of a bump, and also has a good hanger for your bow. I actually have this on the floor, near my piano, and it looks great - but if you have kids or dogs, you’ll want this up on a safe table or counter. My wife likes it, which is perhaps the ultimate test for any product I buy.

Perfect stand for my violin
This was a much needed purchase on my part. Whenever I practice I find myself laying my violin on a nearby chair or even the floor. I have actually had some close calls with my pets almost knocking it down or trampling it. This stand comes in handy and I like that it has a little lever that kind of locks the violin in once you have placed it in the cradle. So even if it gets knocked over, it won’t fall out of the stand. The only down side that I have found is that the two legs (for lack of a better term) don’t lock in the open position. So if I grab it to move it, it folds in on itself and needs to be reopened before I can set it back down. If it wasn’t for that small inconvenience it would have gotten 5 stars from me.

Folds Up in Small Space
With four fiddlers in the family, these get hard use when we play shows. Folds up small and is looking to be a lot more durable than other brands/types we have used. Easy to setup.

Instrument care
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. She’s young and teaching her responsibility. Looks like a good product and hopefully she won’t leave her violin laying around.

Great features but needs improvement on major stability issues
As a professional violinist, I was looking for a sturdy violin stand to take with me to my regular performances. At first glance, this seemed to be the perfect violin stand: it's light, foldable, fits in a small space, and features a sturdy neck protection lock and an adjustable frame with a bow hook that accommodates different sizes of violins and bows. The frame is durable and made of quality materials, which initially gave me confidence in its performance. However, there are major stability issues that I simply cannot overlook. One significant concern is that the legs of the frame, which are 7 inches apart (as pictured), do not lock. This causes the frame to close as soon as it is moved even slightly. Additionally, the foldable nature of the stand exacerbates the problem: if the stand is moved, the frame often starts to fold inwards, making the violin angle closer to the ground with its strings (pictured). This instability could be detrimental if the violin ends up falling all the way down. While the stand has many promising features, the stability issues are too critical to ignore. I feel generous giving it 3 stars, the way the stand functions, it does more harm than good, therefore I will be returning this product. I hope that the manufacturers read my review and make adjustments accordingly. With improvements, this stand has the potential to be a great and stable option for violinists.

Must buy!
This product comes very compact and portable, but is sturdy and not flimsy at all. It can hold an adult violin and also the smallest sized child's violin. We have a child size violin that we keep the neck rest on at all times to make it easier for our child to pick up and play quickly, and the child size violin with the neck rest fits nicely in this stand. Easy enough for a five year old to use. The components are easy to adjust to fit any size violin and stay firmly where you set them without sliding. There's a little bar that locks at the top of the neck holder part, so if for some reason the stand got bumped into, the violin won't be able to fall forward out of the stand. The way the footing is at the bottom of the violin holder makes it very stable. The attached bow holder behind the violin holder is an added bonus for me, because all of the parts of the violin can be stored together in this compact and durable stand. The bottom part of the stand is padded with a rubbery foamy padding, so when the violin rests on it, the padding helps to protect the violin but also holds the violin from sliding around. Definitely worth the money. We have 2 of these. If I had more violins, I would store every violin in one of these stands.
