South Shore Prairie Metal Platform Bed-Queen-White Shabby Chic

I love the bed and it appears very sturdy - sturdier than the basic metal bed frame my bed was on before! It looks great in my small 1930’s house but without the hefty price tag of a real brass bed!One issue to be aware of that I don’t think anyone else has mentioned is that this bed frame is wider than a queen mattress. I did see it was wider in the description but I thought since it was the outside measurement the actual platform would be the correct width for a queen size mattress.For me it’s not a big issue because I just shifted my mattress to line up with the side you can see. The other side is close to a wall so it’s not visible. Also, for reference, my mattress and topper are 14 inches high and are level with the footboard. That is exactly how I wanted it so my dog can still jump up from the end of the bed 😉😊Also, I have no idea why my pics upload sideways to Amazon. They don’t do that anywhere else 🤷‍♀️

Bed looks great, but two of the middle supports underneath broke off. We have it supported by a stack of bricks. Loved it at first, but it should most definitely last longer than that! Reached out for support/repair/replace and no word back yet.

It seems sturdy. The nuts/ bolts were kind of an issue, a weak little wrench that won’t hold the nut while you try to get the bolts in. We had to get a pair of pliers to hold the nut and an electric screwdriver to screw it together, talk about a game of Twister! It took two days all together because we didn’t expect to have to use power tools. It squeaked until we got it tight. Now it’s great, love it!

So the frame is nice and directions are easy.... However, tools are cheap. If you have big hands, long nails, shaky hands, big fingers, no tools or no patience..this bed isn't for you. Get your own tools. You aren't able to go even half circle to screw in the bolts because the holes are in awkward spots that are small. Nice frame but I was glad I was done building it.

My husband and I put the bed together with ease and the picture guide book was very helpful. We have had it nearly 6 months and one of the wood slats have broken and one of the middle side legs have already came unsoldered. This was a concern, but we were able to reach out to the producer of the product and they are sending us replacement parts free of charge. It is an adorable bed and goes great with my rustic boho themed bedroom. Worth it for the price.NOTE: like other reviews have said it is slightly larger than what a queen mattress is so there is some hangover of the frame, but we have fluffy enough blankets that it isn't a bother.

I was impressed with how well this was packaged. Every part clearly labeled. Some of the bolts had a lot of threads, and the instructions indicate only using hand tools. So I would suggest using a ratcheting screwdriver. Other than that it's a solid need. Very pleased!

Amazing quality took about 2 hours to build with a partner I love it!!! Look forward to ordering more furniture from them

I like everything about this bed. It is sturd and the color is perfect. It is a little difficult to put together with that small allen wrench they send with the bed

I read the reviews before purchasing and I was worried about assembly alone. It was easy to assemble and I did it by myself (female with little experience). It turned out perfect and I love it. It looks great and I've had no concerns.

The most impressive thing I found about the bed was that the hardware was good quality and it was packaged very securely. It took be about 4 hours by myself and I did things out of order but I would do it again. The bed is strong and sturdy and the measurements were exact. Although the Seller provided me with a little compensation I still had to take off one star as the footend had a visible dent. The dent landed in a dark area and almost looks like it was there by age. I was not giving up this bed!

Excellent value, not a super heavy duty but fit and finish are great. Only problem was that the packaging didn't arrive entact from shipping and hardware was missing. Contacted customer service reaction was very good, but it did take over a week to get the parts.
