Wellden Product Anatomical Human Muscular Figure Model, 27-part, 1/2 Life Size, Numbered

This product is quite nice. As an anatomy private teacher who teaches medical students, I’m satisfied with the model.I’ve uploaded some photos which would have been helpful earlier on in my decision making process when considering which model to buy.Many of the nerves and vessels are clearly visible, as well as a lot of the muscle layers on the limbs (but not the extensors on upper limb). The lower limb is more detailed (except for the feet).It’s a pity that the back muscles are not dissectable.I would not use this model for studying the brain or skull, because they are not detailed enough for medical studies.The internal organs are ok. However, when studying the heart, I would use a different, larger model. Additionally, it’s quite impressive that the stomach has the left/right gastric arteries, and the gastroomentals around it.What I was especially happy about was the liver. Its really nice and the visceral side is usable for understanding the peritoneal relations.

The model arrived on time, well packaged and protect and the condition/quality is fantastic. However because the model did not arrive with a guide book it is hard to gauge the accuracy of the numbering system. I paid for the convenience of a a model that teaches and informs parts easily, and having me look up online photos and compare notes doesn't serve the reason for this purchase. I was advised to contact the seller and now after two weeks, I have yet to receive a reply or a new guide book.So, outside the customer service and lack of any documentation, I would say the product is well made and almost worth the price.

This is a very cool model with quality construction. It is very difficult to remove and replace the parts though. Otherwise great. I purchased if for my massage school and it works well for that purpose.

This guy does not disappoint! The accuracy and detail of this muscle model is first rate. I use him to teach anatomy and physiology to osteopathic manual therapy students. The origins and insertions of each muscle are clearly articulated. The price point is fabulous. I have seen similar models for twice the cost of this one! This is a 100% great value for money product!

The model is well made and the attention to construction detail is commendable. Some students however would "freak out " if this model and the accompanying guide were given because there are a few issues.First, it arrived ahead of schedule so well done here! It was packaged OK. The arm that tapers the body rubbed on the leg and scraped the paint off--not a big deal (at least for me).Back to the beginning: I only have done a brief scan and overview of the model. The teres minor is missing on the guide and the gluteal region is also missing appropriate numbering. The piriformis muscle 18 on the guide is not labeled on the model. It should be the muscle with the hole as one key landmark of this muscle is that the sciatic nerve passes underneath (normally). The gluteus minimus is mislabeled as 17(should be the medius). I looked at the gluteus maximus to see if the medius would be underneath but there is no indication of it there. The gluteus medius muscle rests on top of the minimus which lays on the wing of the ilium below the iliac crest between anterior and inferior gluteal lines. I totally like the model but given these libeling issues it would be a hard sell to my collogues/school department. Overall I would recommend the item but also recommend the manufacture place the amazing detail that was placed on the construction, through the whole labeling/identification process.
