Linne & Ringsrud's Clinical Laboratory Science: Concepts, Procedures, and Clinical Applications

If you're a self-driven student who's taken an interest in the clinical laboratory and began reading on the topic of your own accord, you can safely skip on reading this book. The material is very basic and is a lot like reading the first two or three chapters from texts a little further into this field. Information is generalized and much more emphasis is given to procedure and rote understanding than a deeper grasp of the processes.I could have made it through my class without opening this book once, I can confidently say. There's not enough in there to really grab your attention or inspire you to read more about a particular topic. If you're a novice student or someone who hasn't been in school in a while, the book may come in handy but I'd recommend you challenge yourself with something more substantiative like  Rodak's Hematology .

It was a required book for my intro class but I would still refer to it in my second and third semesters. It helped when I needed a more basic explanation of what was going on or just a reminder of basic material. It definitely helped to create a base to build on in all of my MLS classes afterwards.

This was very helpful in learning the basics. I was required to have this book for my MLT program and it's the only one I bought instead of rented.

Useless book! Too broad! Makes things more difficult then what it is. Worse book I ever had in my college experience 🙄 Don't recommend it!!! I used YouTube my past book to understand things clearer.

personally I find this book poorly organized and hard to read. But it is required for class, so I'm using it. I have read far better medical textbooks

I appreciated that explanations in this book for simple and concise. My professor also allowed us to get older versions which is always appreciated in college textbooks.
