SRAMS600 Crankset - 3 x 8-speed, 175mm x 42-32-22T, Square Taper, Black

This is now my 3rd S600 crank set. I have them on all of my bikes. I use this to replace my SRAM X9 GXP fancy shmancy external BB crank. I use them all as single ring cranks. My others are p-spline interface but I prefer the square taper of this crank due to the reliability and selection of available square taper BB's. Note: I take the chain rings off and just use the crankset with a better single ring (like race face or surly). The chain rings that come on this are total cr@p and I would not use them if given the choice. But the crank is perfect, especially for a retro grouch like me or someone looking for simple and cost effective functionality.

Last time I replaced my chain rings it turned into a long process of re dialing in my front derailer. I dropped these in to replace the last ones i had and zero issues so far! Paired it with some Oneup peddles and a new shimano Bottom bracket and my bike feels new!

These cranks look and work tuff but are cheap on tge wallet.

Well, it's a crank that works fine on my 21 year old Specialized Stump Jumper that I'm still riding after 21 years. Not nearly as nice as the original crank, but for my bike, that quality of stuff hasn't been on the market for years (or is so crazy expensive that it's crazy). It's not a bad crank, nor great, but it gets the job done nicely. I simply ignore its rather plain looks.Update: After grinding though a season of MTB riding, this crank has perform perfectly on my Stump Jumper. Zero problems with shifts, and it still runs smooth and quiet. Amazing value for its price.

I bought this for my fat tire Mongoose .fits great. woks wellI did not buy a front deraleur but get off and shift by hand if needed. mostly use the 32 tooth. exact fit for the fat tire bike

Nice replacement crankset for older mountain bikes. Works great with my 8 speed setup.

Complete trash... 1 side, just like the reviews say, was machined too small and the arm rests too far out of the pedal line. Amazon continue to let sellers get awaywith known product issues, forcing an inconvenience on customers to drive to other srores wasting their gas and time to return known defective items while holding your money hostage so you can't replace the crap item and have to spend your out of bank money again, then when you send the trash back, you get an Amazon credit you dont want anymore. I ABSOLUTELY HATE AMAZON. When you call customer service China you get talked into circles and they just repeat their robotic crypt notes.

Got this as a replacement for a Stout that came on my 2016 Specialized Rockhopper. I purchesed this because the one my bike came with did not have a replaceable small ring which is the one I Primarily use on most local trails. It made it through an entire cross country race season plus all the training in between and I gotta say I'm really happy with it. Mud, muck, sand and all the dusty conditions plus all the jumping and it didn't show any signs of fatigue or stress so I'm gonna keep on rockin it. :)
