SEIKOWomen's Automatic Watch Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Strap

I have always wanted a Seiko watch like this so when my old Timex of 35+ years finally died, I treated myself to this one. It arrived way before it was scheduled, was extremely well packed, and truly is as beautiful as pictured. Unfortunately for me, I could even begin to understand the instructions so was scared to death to even touch the actual watch! My old Timex gave me the time, which is all I need. I don't need the month, the day (with multiple languages capabilities), etc. so, sadly, I took it immediately to the post office and sent it back. Oh well... at least I can say that finally had a Seiko... if even for only a few hours.

I had a Seiko years ago, back in the 70s. I haven’t owned or worn a watch in years, but decided I wanted one. I chose this one. I wanted an automatic. It was reasonably priced & you really can’t beat Seiko for reliability. I think it’s a really great timepiece & it looks expensive.

Beautiful!My father bought me my very first Seiko watch back in the early 70’s and it’s still working.My mother had an automatic winding one that would still be working today if it wasn’t for a lousy watch repairman.I bought this as a birthday present to myself.I needed a watch I could count on that not only looked classy, but also didn’t need to be removed every time I hopped in the shower or went for a swim .From personal experience I know Seiko is a quality watch and built to last

Update 30 Aug 2020 ... 18 mos into the saga.I'd written before how it took may calls to get the seller to find,"repair", and return the watch; that was 10 months ago.From Day One, the watch could not keep accurate time. [With very few exceptions, it's kept on my wrist 24/7/360.]It's in its phase where it loses 30-60 minutes overnight, each night.I've known the Seiko brand for four decades and this is the first time I've had any problems. It's also the first [and last] time I've purchased anything from these people.Don't think it'd be worth sending it out to an authorized repair center, so I'll be going back to my quartz while I look for another mechanical watch.

It’s perfect

Summary: good value and a great look that works well with any band. It was running slow for the first week or so but that seems to have resolved itself. It’s as accurate as I would expect at this price point.The good: watch looks great and fits well on my 7.5” wrist. There is an almost endless variety of colors and styles of straps that look great with it.The bad: not even close to a 40 hour reserve. The best I’ve managed is about 8 hours and that’s after wearing it for a week straight, talking it off only to shower. One of those days was spent working in the yard so inactivity wasn’t an issue.
