Left is actually right
This company describes the operator OPPOSITE what every other manufacturer uses. Nevertheless once you figure it out, this is an excellent replacement for an old casement operator with a plastic wheel on the end. Handle and spline are both formed with teeth so they are meshing gears Nice design.

Perfect match for our aging casement windows
Our casement windows are 37 years old and some of the operators have begun to fail. This was a perfect match for one of the operators that had cracked in half. This replacement has additional holes for the mounting screws making this a more universal mount. Everything matched the old operator. We installed this in less than five minutes. Good quality..works like a champ.
